Do you want an original 3DS Zelda set in the Skyward Sword universe?

Phantom Hourglass was set in the same universe, as a direct sequel to Wind Waker. I don't hear people clamoring for Twilight Princess's art s(tyle) as much as Wind Waker, but I've fallen in love with Skyward Sword's beautiful Impressionistic art direction. I think flying around in 3D would be awesome, and the game would have to be less focused on the sword play than Skyward Sword was (or they could emphasis dual analog sword fighting with the Circle Pad Pro, or stylus controlled swipes) Overall, I think the Skyward Sword universe would be a good fit for the eventual 3DS Zelda game. They could even re-use some stuff from Skyward Sword, a la Majora's Mask to build on an already solid foundation. What do you think? I think Nintendo is likely to create a new Zelda for the 3DS using stuff already created, like the content Grezzo made with Ocarina 3D or perhaps recycling some content from Skyward Sword like how they used the Wind Waker universe as a jumping point for Phantom Hourglass.

Nah, I loved Skyward Sword, but I have no particular desire to see the "world" reused.

It would be cool but I don't see how they could make a sequel to Skyward Sword. Also part of the fun is exploring the new world, I woulden't want to already know what was out there.

"Exploring" is the word that really stands out here. Exploration is something Skyward Sword seriously lacked with its linear world design. I'm hoping for a completely new Zelda that's not a direct sequel to any of its predecessors.

i wouldn't mind them using the skyward sword art style, but i also wouldn't mind a different art style as long as the gameplay is good

Skyward Sword had a universe?

trollface

Aaaanyway... I'd only accept it if they expanded the world and actually had something worth exploring. SS's world had potential but it was way too empty.

It's also something Phantom Hourglass and Spirit Tracks lacked as well... It's been quite some time since we saw a Zelda with a strong exploration element... I would love to see that come back

That doesn't mean they couldn't have put areas worth exploring. There were only some floating islands with nearly nothing to be found and the land parts were very linear. I think it'd be so much better if the sky in SS was like Wind Waker's sea, with all those islands full of secrets. The only difference is the islands would be floating.

No one said the same story did they? Just a sequel in the same universe.

I understand what you mean but what I'm going with is that I like to see totally different worlds. I know Skyward Sword lacked a lot of exploration, but you could still explore a little. I guess what I'm tring to say is that I like to see new enviorments. And please no one say that the enviorments were 'recycled' They were recycled but they came out in their own way.

No. I liked SS alot but the world, while cool in concept, was kinda lousy in execution. There weren't alot of cool places to go, which is a huge change from previous Zeldas. Granted it gave the game a more ARPG feel with the "hub" world, but I still prefer worlds like Wind waker, Ocarina, Majora with alot of things to find and do.

I'd like to see another Zelda set in the world of Termina... I have a feeling there are more stories to tell about that world.

I would like a game that relates demise to our later villains I wouldn't be surprised if his curse had a role on more than just Ganon... what ever it is I want back the feel of a Zelda over world...(also i am still hoping for a game with both bomb and magic arrows that could be combined for magic bomb arrows....) Also the beetle was an awesome item, probably my favorite exploration item. It brought a huge scouting potential to the game as the camera followed it around unlike the boomerang letting you look where link couldn't normally see. would be great to see that item return... Though if they did make a game It would need a good story... over anything else

You know it would be awesome if they made Majora's Mask for the 3DS after all it uses the same base as Ocarina of Time (and I will admit that it is one of the Zelda games I never got to play... :( )

I would rather it did not come back, it lacked the other races that make Hyrule feel alive

I'd definitely buy it on 3DS especially if there was Master Quest on it. MM is my favorite game ever and having it on the go is a dream come true.

I want a epic to round off the hero of times saga and there's no shame in a bit of fan service to bridge the Ocarina of Time/Majora Mask child timeline with Twilight Princess.

A game with a massive land to explore and the Lord of the Rings vibe they tried to make for Twilight Princess, only fully realised such as with more horde battles.

There can be nods to Skyward Sword like a appearence of or reference to Mogma, robots, Kikwi or maybe some time travel or dream sequence involving Hylia, Demise or Ghirahim.

I'd much rather see Twilight Princess get expanded, but then that's because I want to see more of Princess Midna. But I would be happy to get a brand new world of Zelda.

Nah, not really. I didn't like Skyward Sword or its world much at all. I would personally like another game in the Wind Waker universe, or an entirely new world.
