Does anyone care about the new Mario tennis?

Mario tennis "Ultra smash" for Wii U, to me just looks like a slower less fun version of Mario Power tennis with bloom lighting. The Mario tennis games are good fun, but this just seems redundant. I ask if anyone is looking forward to this because I haven't seen anybody mention it since e3.

Aside from the Mega Mushroom item and the jump smash mechanic, there has been next to nothing revealed about the game to generate any excitement over. This could mean that Nintendo still has something to show... or it could mean that's all that this game has to entice people, which would mean that that lack of excitement will remain as is for Ultra Smash. Can't really say much about until Nintendo does SOMETHING with the game -either by showing something or releasing the game.

Im interested in it for its online multiplayer. I would love to add to my collection of online competitive games.

I'm not excited for it. Probably because Nintendo has barely shown anything about it. If it turns out to be good, I may get it down the line. For now, I'm content to keep playing Mario Power Tennis.

If this game is anything akin to the entry on the 3DS, I will pass. A golf game would have been interesting though.

I never cared for any of the mario sports titles.

I tried Mario Tennis on the 3DS, and it was lame. It just felt thrown together to bulk out the library. The Wii U version looks like the same thing. So I'll definitely skip this one.

Not at all I wanted another Paper Mario.

I have the Mario Power Tennis New Play Control for the Wii, and I like it allot. I see nothing wrong with Nintendo refreshing their sports games every console generation. It is not like they are releasing a new Tennis game every year like EA does for Madden (not that that is a bad thing). Mario Power Tennis doesn't have to generate the same amount of excitement as say Mario Kart to be a mainstay. Mario Power Tennis may not one of my top ten games, but it is worthwhile to have in my library.

is it going to have super moves again? I liked the super moves in Power Tennis but thought it was a bit jarring when the camera angle would switch. If they have super moves, but keep the camera above the court when one activates, I am very interested.

if the characters were big (like when they eat the megamushroom) then yes i would of bought it.

i think it looks awesome when they eat the megamushrooms.....feels like im playing with realistic characters....

but unfortunately...they are small and only get big when you get the powerup....so nah...

@GameboyTroy: Yeah. I didn't notice anyone use a super move, but I know those could be turned on and off in Power Tennis. Did they confirm one way or the other?

I do care to be honest. But not sure if I will buy it. Maybe in the long-term and if there's a sale somewhere I will pick it up.
