I brought my DS to a Best buy and a Target today to download demos and stuff but it didn't pick up a signal. I remember it used to work about a year ago. Does it still work, or did I do something wrong?
I've heard of DS download stations recently too. I saw an advertisment for one in a Gamestop when I was looking for games after getting my DS but didn't see the actual download station. Now I've been looking for them every time I go to Wal-Mart or Gamestop.
The stores in my area that have them include GameStop, Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City.
They typically have a few demos and movies of games, but you can only download one at a time, and as soon as you close your DS (note-not turn off, CLOSE) the file is gone.
It's only really worth it if you're going to sit in the store and let everyone stare at you while you play a game.

Ummm no its the other way around i carried the ninja gaiden demo for 2 days while my ds was CLOSED and on the charger but not turned off...I've ds downloaded alot and they only go away when u turn off the ds
You don't actually see the unit that does the downloading. Just go to a store that has a DS section, stand next to the games and go to ds download on your DS. If you can see it, than you can dowload demos. You'll realize if you can do it if it works.
i know for a fact that the gamestop in clifton, new jersey has one because they have a mat to stand on that states it and it is infront of this blue pillar. i havent seen any download stations in best buys in new jersey though, maybe they got rid of them.
