I agree! Why did they make core non- multiplayer??!?!?!?!?!? And some classics would be nice on the DS. The control sceme is almost as good as the PCs as far as aiming goes. Its almost like a combination of the good parts of pc controls (pin point accuracy with the mouse) and best part about controllers (the shoulder triggers and simple but effective buttons). DO SOMETHING DEVS!
True, i forgot COD4. And i WAS so hyped for CORE, but then they stripped the multiplayer away! It is almost standard for FPSs to have MP now, why would they do that? Its no longer a purchase for me

Well it's a small studio and it's their first game, so multiplayer (especially over Wi-Fi) would have been far too ambitious. If the first game has some success though, they said they would definitely add multiplayer to an eventual sequel.
"Dementium: The Ward" is a good departure from CoD and such... play it in the dark with 'phones. The other game these guys made, "Moon", is supposedly good... but it looked a bit repetitive and boring to me honestly.

I own it, and your perceptions are pretty spot-on. It's nice-looking and there's some fun to be had there, but there isn't a whole lot of variety between levels and it's pretty mindless compared to most modern FPS games.
Dont get your hopes up about CORE, it got a 5.5 from NP.

Yeah... you could smell the steam off that pile awhile ago. The multiplayer gameplay footage they released over a year ago looked absolutely awful. I'm pretty convinced that anyone who posts that they are anticipating that game are being paid to do so.

LOL, you're right. The main reason that I'm "anticipating" it is because it keeps getting pushed back! I remember seeing the previews and thinking that it wasn't even going to be as good as Moon and Metroid Prime Hunters, but still curious to read the reviews to see how right I was. The original release date was what? Back in March or April? Every time it gets delayed another month, I get more and more curious to see how well this game will be reviewed!

Sort of like "Video Game Ambulance Chasing".
I'm still gonna get "Moon" someday, though it looks pretty bland as well... but I liked "Dementium" for what it was so I want to see the devs get a little nod, maybe get the chance to do another title...
woah my topic went to second page then came back? what a miracle! but yeah core looks dumb now, but i might go pick up MP:H gamestop has a deal today. anyone still play that online?
Online? Oh-MY-nooooo... heh heh... no one who doesn't cheat. Never buy a DS game for the online content.
Core doesn't look that bad. Gamespot's hands on preview gave it a pretty good outlook on the game. But, considering that this is the studio's first game, I have to wait until I can watch or read some proper reviews. Prereviews are never promising really.Dont get your hopes up about CORE, it got a 5.5 from NP.

I think that the DS could do very well with FPS games, but the companies who make them need to be very careful of the territory they're stepping into. :| They also have to be very creative to make the game interesting. Unfortunately, jjtiebuckle, Half-Life DS won't happen (Valve is not a Nintendo Licensed company). And Goldeneye DS? Eh, possibly, but not likely. Whatever studio that has the dangerous job of porting that game will probably prefer creating a new story entirely anyways.
Stop it! No! What did I say? Aye..heh Unfoturantelely, the only mentionable shooters don't fit my taste, but the ports that somehow do end up in my lap are quite disaproving compared to higher ranked titles. I'd be all for Goldeneye DS if and only if it's nothing like Rogue Agent or Casino Royale.i want turok 2 and 3 for ds

There is a trailer for it on IGN but there is no gameplay.
