Some games don't jump as much, and focus more on the gameplay switch. Others do both, some do one or the other. Im satisfied with the overall outcome though.
Not much of a complain, but i`m not 100% Satisfied in Overall, but i like the Castlevanias, besides that there isn`t much that i like , DS can`t handle 3-D BRILLIANTLY, just ok
I'm fine with them. To me, gameplay makes a game, as well as other factors. Graphics, sure, great, amazing, sucky, w/e. But I prefer Gameplay over Graphics, which the DS offers. Plus, the fact the DS has online features, makes it even better. Screw graphics. Either way, DS pwns. ^.^
I'm happy. The game play is great and online is a blast! People complain about the textures...but hey! They're not that bad! Pretty sweet for a handheld! I love my DS and I don't regret buying it :)
Let's be honest, the DS graphics aren't a big jump from the GBA graphics. Only a couple of games apply like Metroid Prime Hunters but have a massive amount of grain, but I like the graphics for DS.

how are they bad, unless you make a better comparison, keep your mouth shut. :x I still find them as bad as I did the first time too. The first 7 games (which are from your first topic) are really crappy games, and the other games looks a lot better than that in motion. Those are pretty bad screenshots, and you shouldn't compare graphics unless the games look like they should. Play some Super Circuit and then play Mario Kart DS. This is a very big leap in graphics.
Well MKDS has amazing graphics. They are pretty much better than the N64.Skater710

Nice comparisons, but who bought the DS for the graphics? I wanted mine because it was a sweet concept. I got it, and it's the best handheld out right now. Yes, better than the GBA by way of the fact that the DS can play GBA games.
I love the fact that i can play 3D and 2D games fairly flawlessly on this console. Wish there were more 3D platformers or shooters, but what the DS has been offering should satisfy most portable gamers.

i bought it for the grapics. grapics are a huge part in my decision to buying game systems
That doesn't change the fact that DS 3D graphics is severly lacking.
If all DS games were 2D then I wouldn't complain, but since there are many 3D DS games I do because they just look like Playstation quality graphics or even worse.
Yeah I'm fine with it. Although more games should start to look like Hunters however. It came out last year and no game has touched it graphically, save a few. MPH should be the standard of graphics for the DS (minus the occasional frame rate drops).
the ds graphics are the best because it looks kinda cartooney while its 3d kinda like those Fairly Odd Parent graphics on the gamecube but a lil worse Still awesome though, i use to think to myself before the ds was even mentioned that is it possible to have 3d graphics on a small system? i thought it was impossible but look wat we have now...(i was like 9 or 10 back then)
Yeah... Umm... It's been two years and three months since the DS came. We know the DS is capable of producing much more than the GBA. But funny thing is, developers don't seem to notice that. Alot of DS games barely look better than what the GBA was capable of, and it's odly rare that a 3d game actualy comes out on the DS. It's anoying as hell really.

This is a very big leap in graphics. i went through EVERY single ds games on gamespot. then i tried to find a Gba versian of the same game. if you think you can make better comparisons of the SAME games please go ahead.
i don't think you should have compared titles that generally look the same because of the style the companies were going for. like yoshi's island and boktai/lunar knights. but yes, i'm satisfied.
Graphics are OK for the DS. But the graphics dont really bother me. I would of liked the DS to have had a similar graphical power to the PSP, but im glad that the DS has one major thing the PSP doesnt: a huge library of excellent games. Remember there are some 3d games out there that really impress, e.g: MPH, Super mario 64 DS, MKDS etc. But don't forget that DS is far from using its full grahical potential in most games, we can expect in the DS's final years for some real eye-candy 3d games to be released.
No not really.... its a pretty lame jump if you ask me... seeing as most games on the ds are 2d and they dont even look much different than the same 2D game on the GBA (yoshi's island for instance.) and plus the 3D DS games dont look much better than PSX games because the Screen is so low-res.
