Many times there are factory screw ups and the ds is made poorly so that is why some break very easily but usually you will get a good one. If not you can usually send it back for a new one.
i've had mine for christmas and mine is fine. i work at a summer camp and last summer i was always playing this kids ds with a broken hinge, but it wasnt that big of a deal. i just used some crazy glue and fixed it.
mines not a lite, but it makes an awful noise when my bro pushes it after the limit (u can push a bit more, but i dont recommend, thats why i avoid letting my brother touch the DS), so yea it probably breaks easy, but it depends on how u care about ur DS. if u r careful, i doubt u'll break it
Of all the ppl I know IRL that own DS's, not one of theirs have broke (Even my sister, who breaks EVERYTHING) Ive heard stories online, but i bet some of them were made by sony fanboys that were bashing on nintendo, and the rest were careless brats.
No the DS lite is not easly broken, the hing problem was awhile ago LOTS of DS lites were getting broken hinges (some manufater problem) but now a days they are not having those problems.
depends on how you handle your ds.. if you actually throw it around and use it for stuff other than its purpose then it might break easily.. mines a year now and just minor scratches on the cover.. that's it.. :)
