omg i just bought a ds lite (black) for 20 bucks from a garage sale. the old lady that sold it to me didnt really know what it was so i offered 20 bucks and she said yes. before i knew what i was doing i was running home! i figured if i got as far as possible her grandson or whoever it belonged to couldnt see me. so i went home and hook it up with my bros charger and it works perfectly. no scratches on the screen or anything. except the pencil thingy is a little chewed on. anyways just had to share this awesome bargain with everyone.:D:D:D

You're kind of adding things that he never said happened. He didn't even say whether or not it was really on sale, maybe the grandmother was selling it just because she got it as a present and had no idea what it was supposed to be.
And no matter what you say, he's not gonna care. It would be better if you just let him do what he wants, he's not gonna directly influence you in any way, and there's always gonna be some swindling and wrong-doing. Can't be avoided.
