if you take good care of your DS you should have no problem with dirt and btw your DS should not be near dirt

hi thanks for your reply. so no dust would go in? cause I have a PSP which i put in a case and dust still accumulate in it. but it is easy to clean with PSP... is the pink/light blue DS LITE just as easy to clean? :-)

Just wipe it off with a cloth every once in a while. I myself have an Enamel Navy DS Lite, and it doesn't get dust, just gets lots of smudges :P. Nothing too serious though, just wipe it off.

hi to be more specific about "dirt"... let's say if my hand is a bit dirty and I accidentally touch the inside of the PINK or LIGHT BLUE DS... will it leave a mark that may not be able to be wiped off? I know the outer DS material can be wipedclean easily... but the inside??

Yeah, either way, everything should wash off pretty easily, like grease. With grease, you just dampen a paper towel a little, wipe just a little, wipe with a dry cloth. You should at least wipe your hands before playing your DS anyways :P. I shouldn't worry too much about it getting dirty, just don't touch the touchscreen with your finger.

I've had a pink one for less than a year, and play it often. Mine is clean as can be. Once, I had to take a peice of paper into the crevices to get a peice of something outta there, but it came out fine.

I own the Black DS and I just wipe it off after each use. I use an old Tee Shirt as it is really soft and won't scratch it.

you could always invest $30 in a travel kit... or $9 for a simple case. I got my travel kit at BB for $30 and it came with the hardback case, which holds games and the DS, plus a travel charger, ear buds, three skins, two screen protectors and a cleaning cloth. unless you are rolling around in the woods with your DS, you shouldn't have problems keeping it clean and safe.

With the lighter colored DS's they may show more "dirt," but its very simple to clean off. Just use a microfiber cloth for things like dust or fingerprints. If you find that the L+R shoulder buttons are getting dirty, I just take a little windex or the stuff people used to clean eye glass lenses and it comes right off.
