I used to have a Normal DS as I first got it around Christmas of 2005 and then it broke like last summer so I got a Lite last September and I think It's a lot better. Easier to carry around and It's light and nice and bright.
id u already have a ds dont get a ds lite i mean who really cares if its not even a pound lighter u must be some weak if u find it hard to carry a regelar ds around and the light who cares about how bright a light is.
Each one has several flaws, like the second ds is hard on the hands after marathons in a certain position but the 5 light settings blow the other ds out of the water. Also the original ds, is worse for playing games like sonic rush, because the two screens are so far apart.
the phat is amazing. It is sturdy, it is durable, and it isn't too small. The light is plasticy, and my hands are big so it gives my hand cramps.fireemblemgamer
