In what order do you guys think things will be revealed at E3? You think they're going to come right out FIRSt and show the Wii2? Do you think they'll wait to last to reveal it? Or maybe some Wii stuff will be unveiled somewhere inbetween ?

I think that They will start slow and annouce stuff for the eShop for 3DS, then DEF go into BIG 3DS titles. I think they're DEF gunna hit 3DS first for a couple of reasons. To show people, and also inestors that there will be a lot coming from 3DS in the near future. Especially with the kinda slow game launch for the system, they're going to want to get right to showing people that the 3DS has JUST begun!

I think then some weird Wii stuff will be revealed, and then for the finale, BIG WII 2 reveal! I feel like they're might not be THAT much information, but def enough confirmed stuff to make us feel good.

How do you guys think the show would go? ? 8D

They'll open with the little bit they have for the Wii then spend a good chunk of time on the 3DS and finally the last 30 minutes or so will be all Cafe.

I think about 90% of the show is going to be damage control

Nintendo has a lot to apologize for and they're going to take this setting as the place to do it.

I then expect them to run off stats about how they're doing and I expect them to be very silent on the games front

I then expect them to get at least 2 big publishers names out there but that's about it

Nintendo's in a tough spot this E3, the Wii is nearly dead and the 3DS that was supposed to turn attention away from that is dying as well. The DS has dropped to under 100 dollars and that's been the biggest news for the company in some time.

What I'm wondering is if we'll hear any talk of the Wii's Virtual Shop, when it launched that was Nintendo's great tool that allowed them to bring out the names of third party companies all the time "We have CAPCOM on the Wii" (with a game made in 1988 ) but whatever advantage they gained from name dropping third party companies they lost because they haven't been dedicated to the service at all.

I'm certain that a huge focus will be on 3DS software. They can't afford to be "silent on the games front" right now, if they want thei new handheld to succeed. Though I don't expect to see much software for the Wii or "Project Cafe".

Here is the order i think they will show stuff in: 1) Starts with minor news about game sales, etc. 2) Infomation on the 3DS, Store launch. 3) The bulk of it will be Project Cafè, with game announcements, pricings, demonstrations and a release date.

It all depends on Project Cafe. 3DS is just viewed as a failure. It will go down the same road as the PSP I fear. Project Cafe's software lineup and power for hardcore games to be played will make or break this show, so depending on what kind of 3rd party support they get, it will decide this shows merit.

It's not viewed as a failure, it just failed Nintendo's expectations. The 3DS is selling well and the only reason it's not selling as much as people have hoped is because we all know the games just aren't there. Nintendo left all their good games out of the launch window because they wanted to show the third parties that games that aren't made by Nintendo can sell on a Nintendo platform. Now I'm not sure if they proved that but I am sure that the games are coming. beyond that, I agree with you when it comes to cafe. It needs a hell of a third party showing so people can believe that it's tailoring to the hardcore. I don't know about it making or breaking their conference though. Nintendo fans are gonna be happy either way but as a owner of all 3 system, I wish I could play all the great third party games and Nintendo's amazing first party ones all on the same console.

Well I seriously doubt it will measure up to the outlandish rumors we've been hearing. Ultimately some people are going to be disappointed.

People who see the 3DS as a failure forget that the DS had just as rough of a start.

Good.

Their shows with new hardware were never disappointing. Even if the price or other details about Cafe are going to be horrible, we certainly won't see that on the conference.

The 3DS is in no way a failure, as many have said. The games on it now aren't great, but they have announced many 1st party titles to come out this year. Ocarina of Time 3D is just around the corner. They confirmed that Super Mario 3D will come out this year. I think they also confirmed Star Fox 643D for this year. I'm not sure about Paper Mario 3D, but even if its early next year, the wait would've been well worth it.

As for the Wii, they could let it go out with a bang by doing some of the following:

  • Make Skyward Sword pass expectations
  • Have this Zelda 25th Anniversary come out on the Wii, if not the Wii and 3DS
  • Announce Pikmin 3 and/or a new Star Fox title
  • And finally, show us what that New Kirby game is, the one that was talked about a few months ago

If they do that, it will definately give me atleast confidence in Cafe as the Wii comes closer to the end. The thing is, though, the Wii isn't at the end like so many people think, and it's not going to just shut off a month after Skyward Sword comes out. Even after Cafe does hit the market, I think they will do something like the DS and atleast give it some moderate support for the rest of the year that Cafe comes out. It bothers me that people think the Wii has already had it's last breath of air when they still have time to put stuff out. Just last year they almost made GOTY with SMG2, and a lot of people thought Donkey Kong was up for it too. Kirby's Epic Yarn and NSMBW weren't that long ago either, and they were great. Plus, while Metroid Other M wasn't as good as it was hoped, it doesn't get enough credit, as it was a good game. Maybe not a good Metroid game, but a good game none the less.

So there's def a lot of people feeling that this is Nintendo's last shot for them. Not just in this forum, but a lot of places. I think even though people are saying that, they're still going to be buying a Wii2 or 3DS.

I think the only thing Nintendo REALLY has to do, is start getting SLAMMIN games out for 3DS, then a whole new 3DS era will kick off. And I think that they have to give a little more to their third parties, and not leave them standing to fend for themselves. Help the 3rd parties out, and make a system that they WANT to develope for, and Nintendo will be soaring!

IF they don't, then they will be mostly talking up Project Cafe...divert attention away from the no 1st party titles on the 3DS :P Will be interesting to see how it pans out.

I'd expect a release date for U.S./E.U./JPN and some more info on the plot. That's what I think Nintendo will do.

spend 30mins talking about whats coming out for the wii for the rest of the year, talk about wii numbers, what Nintendo has achieved with the wii.

next 40mins on the 3ds, showing up and coming games, again talking about numbers

20mins showcasing the Cafe, No price or solid date will be released, maybe not even gameplay shown, just names of publishers onboard and games in production broadcast on the big screens.

Overall the 3ds will be the star of the show and people will be left hating nintendo for not showing more of the Cafe but still content.
