not the greatest vid. its hard to say. it looks like the nice shiny reflective surface seen in the console and PC version is gone...replaced with a more basic shiny surface. that not surprising however. it was a dry race so i cant say whether the wet track is there or not. it looks roughly like the PS2 games i think: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e_BScwhl6UI more so the later games on the PS2...04-06. a bit smoother perhaps on 3DS and the 3DS has shadows for the car. but roughly thats what it seems to look like. its hard to say for certainty though without a better vid. hopefully the rain for the 3DS version is also better than the PS2 version.
i was about to berate it a bit...the second vid looks a bit worse. is this still in early development though? the other thing is i checked f1 games from avrious years on the xbox 1 also and this isnt a million miles off f1 2002. so maybe i was expecting too much. there are a few bugs with cars in the distance that look like they pop into the air for a sec. lack of reflections on the car and mirrors is also dissapointing but if its still in development then those could be a work in progress. im also assuming collision damage was off for that demo. so not too bad. get good collisions in for when its enabeled, have a good underlying simulation, get some reflections in and keep a steady framerate and ti should be a great racing game for the 3DS. ive been itching to play some f1 on the move...a nice game to compliment MK. so im really hoping CM deliver.
I think the reason people aren't allowed to film this is because its far from ready. Cars are disappearing in shot. The wheels turn too far compared how the car moves. These are all signs of an early build.
Yeah, it's hard to tell from the video but those graphics are not impressive at all. Definitely not at GameCube level which is where they should be at the least.
