Favorite Wii Play Game? (No Bashing Please)

I know alot of people aren't a fan of this but it looks like real fun to me, I'll probably be getting it tomorrow. Since I need a extra Wiimote I thought why not.

The games in it that interest me quite a bit are:

* Table Tennis (I hear its alot better with 2 players)

* Air/Laser Hockey

* Tanks (I loved playing Combat on the 2600)

* Pool (it seems the Wiimote lends itself to a pool game very well) 

I have it, and you'll only play the game about twice, trust me, I think you should just buy the wii-mote.  I don't think the game is worth $10.  Tanks is the only game I could play twice, but I only played it twice.

Edit: And the pool game sucks, they made the rules all funky.

its real fun.  i bought it solely for the game. traded the wiimote back for store credit, since i already have 4 .   pool (billards) is accurate, requires a bit of effort (aim, press and hold B, pull back, then lunge wiimote forward and let go of B to hit ball with que.)  its fun with 2 players.  my personal fav...well most ppl that come ove renjoy htis game too.

laser hockey is a nice take on air hockey...plays a bit like the old game from 1957 - 'Pong' .  Before the match, if u hold A and B buttons at the same time, u can switch ur paddle from the rectangualr one into a circle. with the circle u don't have to worry about twisting the wiimote - just swinging lightly to hit the puck.  cathcy music too. my 2nd fav game.

duck hunt...err target practice.  lets u shoot at targets/balloons/ducks/ufos.  u can fire like a madman using A or B.  if u want..u can use both to fire rapidly. but the more consecutive hits u get, the more bonus points u get so the higher ur score.  great with 2 players - competitive till the last point. 3rd fav.

and finally my 4th fav is tanks. 

move wii mote to aim cursor/crosshair.  to move ur tank u use the d-pad (not comfortable) or u can use the nunchuk (ideal for this game)Shells = B Button, Mines = A Button.  the object is to destroy ennemy tanks in mini levels. u can blow em up with mines (they explode after some time, or when a tank gets close they explode too - u can slo shoot them from a distance to trigger an explosion) or u can take em out old school with the shells.  theres a ton of levels, i won't spoil how many..so ur just gonna have to play it.  its very fun. u can play with two ppl...with 2 players ur competing for the most kills...but when one of u loses all lives the remianing playe rwins and the game ends..so rathe rthan killing each other...its best to play cooperatively..that way u get further and won't have a problem with the more challenging ennemies later on.  its fun..but u gotta have patience...running err driving and blasting like mad will often get u killed so patience is key.

the other games are okay but nothing too catchy. 

find mii = find 2 look alike miis in a crowd of miis, find an odd mii, find the mii ur using etc. the levels get harder..some show miis swimming...others u use a flashlight b/c the screen is black so u can't see them all. 

pose mii = a bunch of miis are falling in bubbles...and ur wiimote cursor is a mii  and u pretty much have to twist ur wiimote to make the cursor mii postioned the same way as the falling mii - sorat like a puzzle game..but simple and boring over time. 

charge = u ridding on a cow. tilt up to speed up. tilt back to slow down, move wiimote up to jump, tilt left / right to steer . the point is to knock down scarecrows for points. 

fishing = move rod (wiimote) left right forward back up down to catch fish....ur supp to catch the one that appears in a bubble o ntop of screen...get points..but if u cathc the wrong one u loose points. 

table tennis = move paddle left / right. ball goes faster after every 10 returns.  u can swing to change direction but kinda  easy to lose by doing so. in single player its an endurance test u vs computer that neve rloses. the reason this isn't a fav is b/c i have a real ping pong table and my freinds /I play the real thing so this is boring for me.

so if ur looking for some 2 player fun. i recommend this. if u like billards, air hockey, shooting pratcice, the wiimote wa smade for this.  billards is definatley one of the best demonstrations of the wiimote. mayb when u get this game, we can exchange highgscores and compete that way lol? have fun.

im sorry to hear that u didn't like it...but u could give billards another shot eh?  yea...i agree the whole 'foul' thing is annoying when u fail to touch the target ball...or when u miss..u get a foul.  but thats something u can get over. trust if u  play htis game with a freind who's as good as u are, u two are gonna have a ton of fun / competition. its soo simple and fun..that yes, my dad even plays this with me.  so how 'bout it...gonna giv eit anothe rchance?mkfalcon2007
