amen to that. While playing FF3 was a great trip down memory lane, I've had about enough of the same gameplay, random encounters and turn-based attacks as I can handle. :-P

You forgot FFTA2, FF CC: Ring of Fates and FFF: Chocobo Tales. Indeed, absolutely nothing new from Square Enix lately.

This means they are probably remaking the old FF games for the DS just like they did for the GBA.glitch-x911

I totally agree, I won't be buying this game, no matter the review, because I already put out money to get teh GBA version. Pretty graphics and new dungeons aren't supposed to make you want to buy a game, you buy a game for its story and I already have this one.

Not exactly, because they are adding 75% of the original script that was left out from the SNES and GBA version in this remake. So it's not just pretty graphics and a new dungeon. It's the full FF IV at last.

Im not really looking forward to this game.

For one..

This will be the third FFIV to be released in North America and im just tired of it. It might have new updates, but It wont be as much different.

For two..

Also said before too many remakes made bySquare Enixlatley. I can't wait for their new non-remake games coming soon.

For three..

It will probaly end up being 50 bucks. And Im not gonna waste that much money on a game that was remade already once before.

Square Enix is releasing/working on more than 10 new games (at least) for the moment. So yeah, indeed they are doing nothing but way too many remakes lately. Sure you have DQ IV, V and VI recently, but those were never released here, I believe.

And when people see 'Remake' do they automatically jump to the conclusion of 'OMG NOTHING NEW BUT PRETTY GRAPHICZ AND SOUNDZ LAZY SE! BAD BAD BAD! SUCKZ!'

What IV DS will do differently: 3D graphics, FMVs, voice-acting (not confirmed, but I have suspicions, judging from the scans), new 'Theme of Love' song with vocals, brand new stylus-involved mini-games, new extras, a system that will make yo uwant to play throgh the game twice, improved ATB system. But, and this is the most important part:

SE revealed that all other version of FF IV only included 1/4 of the original script written way back when it was first being developped. For this remake, they are adding parts of the 3/4 part of teh script which we never have seen before, fleshing out parts of the story, cutting some parts that they feel dragged on and probably some all around new stuff.

Geeweez, what a stupid re-release with pretty graphics IV DS is indeed! Lazy SE! Make some new games, damn it! The 10 new games you're releasing in the future/are working on don't count at all! We want new stuff!

Honestly... Too much SE bashing these days. And to all those loathing the remakes (yes, remakes, not ports) of SE these days, I will tell you something you should do. It will leave you astonished because it sounds so logical, but don't faint, reading this logical thing won't kill you or harm you in any way. See, if you don't want/like this remake, don't buy it.

The new screens of FF IV are so sexy and cool. Rosa is looking hot and sexy (not to mean getting aroused by video game characters). I have played the FF IV GBA- version last year but I will be planning to buy this one because of new contents and the awesome graphics for the ds.

I think the FF remakes for the ds are really worth it compared to the gba ones.

So as everybod ycan now see, SE is only busy with remeakes these day, so much remakes people are sick of them and all the new games SE is making are not enough to satisfy the people that loath the remeakes and only want new games.

And don't forget my logic that gives you a heart-attack: don't like the remake? Don't buy it, don't complain about it and don't annoy the people that do look forward to it with your rambling about how SE is only making remakes these days.
