You are really desperate to find reasons that will justify saying "SE makes nothing but remakes!", no?
Seriously, no developer can create new IPs every freaking year with it being good. Name one company. One.
No not desperate. There are at least 3 games in the list I plan to buy. But sadly it looks like this is all that sells. Any company can come up with a new title and make it good. If they cant, then something is clearly wrong. but thats not the point. Developers are just too dependant on sequels and spin offs because htats all that sells, and thats just sad. Sure they can, but it takes more than 1 year to churn them out. And every 2-3 years Sqaure usually does pull something new out, like the game Last Remnant they're working on. And there's nothing wrong with appealing to the masses... every company does it, or there would be no sequals. A small niche group of people aren't going to win over a vast majority, it's not fair.
