FFVI cannot be beaten, at least not on the DS.  I have tried about 100 times to implement Sabin's first Blitz and it cannot be done.  It's a shame that I wasted $30.

FFIII (on the SNES - USA) = FFVI (Super Famicom - Japan) = FFVI Advance.  They're all the same game.

I beat it on DS... Maybe it's screwy on ds lite? It might just be the weak diagonals. Press the buttons carefully, the DS D-Pad isn't as sensitive as the SNES one (I've encountered quite a few "incorrect Blitz input" messages when I pressed the buttons correctly).

that game is good on the ds...the blitzes are easy to do...you have to do it on one motion..FF VI is one of the best games ever

I have no trouble pulling off the Blitzes on my DS Lite. Once I actually figured out how they worked, I just enter them in and it works fine. So it's obviously possible to beat FFVI on the DS. Just make sure you're pressing the d-pad buttons down all the way if you have a Lite, since the d-pads on the Lites are really wonky in the first place.

It was perfectly fine for me.Even the strongest Blitz(Phantom rush?) 8 or 9 sucess out of 10 tries.
