Nintendo should

  • wiiware game size
  • DLC for retail games
  • downloadable videos or youtube style nintendo channel videos. the ones when you pause, it loads so you can watch the vid without delay.
  • another update for the photo channel enabling divx or mp4 vids
  • downloadable wii and wiiware game demos
  • more channels like metroid prime preview.

which ones do you agree or disagree with? Any suggestions.

MeGaMaN_9391

Everything in the anti piracy department

I want Nintendo (and the other companies) completely protected when it comes to all that data.

Then I want the ability to have it read everything off the SD card and move it as needed

It doesn't matter what was/wasn't offered for the Wii: whether it be GCN compatibility, storage solution, better internal hard drive. No matter what the case it wouldn't matter because the crowd would always, ALWAYS complain about something. Nintendo now solves the storage solution and one day later (in this case two) it's "Ok now that we have that we demand more crap and we're just guessing what we want because we don't really know. Nintendo was kind enough to deliver a storage solution, which they didn't need to do in the first place, so I'd say just leave it at let Nintendo deliver whaever it is they're delivering. But the problem with that is that Nintendo is delivering New Play Control Wiimakes....oh dear. A real problem has occured.

Save games will and can be moved to the SD Card with a next update of the Wii version. Why would there be a section of SD Card save data on your option menu?

I would be happy with just more N64 games like Majora's Mask, since space wont be as much of an issue anymore. But a Demo Channel would be nice but highly unlikely.

Firstly I agree with you first comments, but I can't see why you have a problem with Nintendo bringing some of their best last gen stuff to the Wii with the new controls. Nobody has ever moaned about RE4:Wii edition. There's also a lot of people out there who never owned a GC. Sure I now have lots of GC games to play including Pikmin but I don't have access to Pikmin 2 and the wii-make will be just the thing for me.

All I want now is some more classic N64 games like Majora's Mask, and other great titles from that era. Aswell as a demo channel, and everything would be set for me. I'll be fine with Punch-Out!! and The Conduit for the Wii, and hopefully new titles come out on E3. Anyways, Nintendo really got themselves back on track with this storage solution.

They call it Secure Digital for a reason. These cards were specifically built for security in mind; There are built-in encryption options.

HVS stated that if there was ever to be a sequel to The Conduit, it would probablyuse Pay-to-Play, so we hardcore gamers need to eat that up.

Monster Hunter 3 will also use Pay-to-Play, I think (think PC MMORPG)...

I agree, I think they should add more customizable options to the Mii channel as well. The Wii has really taken some good steps forward since it released.

Agree with DLC (it's not fair that CoD World at War map pack arrived to all consoles except to Wii). Also, I agree with that thing of pausing a video and it continues loading, it's annoying to watch a video that is stopping every 15 seconds. I would also like to have demos for games.

One thing that Nintendo should also do is to have more protection against piracy. I know a lot of people that install a chip into their Wii's and they can play any Wii game just by downloading it by torrents and ripping it to a disc, they do this without having any problem! This is not fair and Nintendo should do more about it.

I agree on all of your points...

but I personally think that Nintendo should start to add way more N64 games. I know that the selection will be a little limited without support from RARE, but I think that there are still a few notable N64 games that should be released on VC.

Also, DLC for Brawl, and other games would be awesome, but SD Cards eventually fill up too. Maybe the price will drop for HCSD Cards.

I don't think Wii demos are ever happening but WiiWare demos are a possibility. I think bigger WiiWare games are definitely the next step. I wish 3rd party PS1 games would be available but since Sony own the tech for that system, they would never let Wii emulate it. Sad really, I'm sure 3rd parties would love to be rereleasing some of those PS1 classics. More realistically, larger N64 games, mid to late-90's Arcade games and hopefully Dreamcast emulation, at least for smaller games like ChuChu Rocket, will be the future of VC.

Also, they should really open up channels to 3rd parties. It'll be interesting to see what they could do with it. The iPhone/iPod Touch is always being expanded with 3rd party apps, why couldn't Nintendo do the same for Wii (there doing it with DSi)?

The Dreamcast is too relatively close to the Wii to be properly emulated. And plus with the way Nintendo has implemented SD support... by caching the games on the internal memory... there simply isn't enough space.

Smaller and less taxing games like ChuChu Rocket, Sega Swirl and Ikaruga maybe possible and those are the type of games I was referring to. I don't expect to see Soul Calibur or Shenmue on Wii anytime soon. Again, I don't expect to see Dreamcast on the VC at all, which is why I said "hopefully."

Those 9 blocks are for the save file. Not the entire game! And though not really relevant here, Wii blocks aren't equal to GCN ones. (a "block" is a term of convenience, rather than any standard unit of measure)
