GameCube games + Classic Controller

I have a Wii and was going to buy some second hand Gamecube games. Do I need to buy a Gamecube controller, or does the Classic Controller have GC functionality? I am assuming I need to buy the GC controller, but thought I would check before making a purchase.

Yeah, you need a gc controller.

ya, the classic controller doesnt work for gamecube games. on the flipside though, the gamecube controller works for the VC games, thus eliminating the classic controller altogether, but still, classic is prefered for N64 games. If u choose to buy more gamecube controllers, rock the Wavebirds, that is the best choice by far.
