Although both would be the best option, gameplay will always be number 1. The reason, well look at Lair as someone before mentioned. If the game looks all mighty CG quality graphics, but its impossible to control, you will not give it a second look in a weeks time. If you have something like super paper mario or even zelda OOT the graphics suck, but the games are fun and entertaining and keep you playing.

Therefore Gameplay > graphics (But both would be nice in the end)

What you need to realize is that gameplay and graphics go hand in hand. You need powerful hardware for both new gameplay possibilities and better graphics. Waggle != improved gameplay. Better AI, more RAM, more polygons onscreen = improved gameplay.

i take gameplay handsdown even though graphics advance it , there is no reason for any one to think 360 or ps3 has better games only bc graphics are in high definition . that isnt the case at all in fact most of the 360 ps3 lineup doesnt look real at all for example dead rising great game that wasnt to deep in graphics then you got halo 3 which ive yet to play so i aint gonna go anyfurther . game play is always the important part to me if a game is lacking the graphics wont halp it the wii doesnt have to have highdef graphics like the other 2 it needs originality which is wat it has . i dont want to play the same game as what i play on other platforms , like last gen ; i think last gen was full of bs cause every system has the same games

zelda oot s graphics did not suck , that was all they can get out of the 64 32 bit era wat did you expect goldeneye to look like the movie too ? lol if you did then theres somthing wrong with you . you can not tell me zelda oot s graphics suck

red no that is not what makes a game fun that is what the poster is talking about , graphics can do what it does but it doesnt make a game like driver paralel lines any better then what it is already

Gameplay > Graphics

As long as I can see what's going on in the game and I can seewhere I am, where I'm going, etc I don't mind how the graphics are. I always rate graphics on the artistic style and the overall atmosphere rather than the poly count, lighting, textures and stuff like that.

A combination of the two, but ofcourse gameplay before graphics. It would be silly to think otherwise...

Gameplay takes precedent, but there's no reason to sacrifice one for the other.

Super Mario Galaxy, Metroid Prime, Brawl, Endless Ocean, and some others are proof that Wii is capable of both at one time.
