but should check out.

Nostalgia : A steam-punk inspired JRPG that is developed by the same people(Matrix Software) who did the DS remakes of FF III and FF IV, as well as Avalon Code.

Overlord Minions : A bite-size version of Overlord, but with puzzle solving at its core. Sign me up!

Drawn to Life: The Next Chapter : Fans of the first game will feel right at home with this one.

Legend of Kay : I'm not sure if this game is a port of the PS2 game of the same name. What I am sure of though is those screen shots look great! Oh by the way...GameSpot gave the PS2 Legend of Kay an 8.0.

Dementium 2 : Does Renegade Kid have another Mature title hit on their hands?

C.O.P. The Recruit : Impressive visuals for a DS game! Is this how GTA Chinatown Wars should have been made? Time will tell if Ubisoft pulled this one off.

Picross 3D : If this game is even half as addicting as the first one, we will have a winner.

What do you think of these games? I purposely left out some of the better known titles shown at E3 for the DS.

Nostalgia Looks good, but will it offer at substance?

Even though it probably won't be worthwhile, I still can't wait for Overlord Minions.

Your legend of Kay link is wrong.. unless the DS' graphics just improved 100-fold heh.

Just a few more unnoticed games.. never said they were worth checking out!

Agatha Christie: ABC Murders (DS)-if you like those click-adventure puzzle games

Monster Mayhem: Build and Battle (DS)-customize your fighter then let him loose

Disney's A Christmas Carol (DS)- Ebaneezer Scrooge!

My Hero: Firefighter (DS)- for those who wanted to be firefighters when they grew up

Dragon Ball Z: Attack Of The Saiyans (DS)- DBZ RPG

My Hero: Astronaut (DS)- for those who wanted to be astronauts when they grew up

Miami Law (DS)- puzzle games+detectives= "No ones going to beat me in Sukodo!"

Bakugan: Battle Brawlers (DS)- looks like another game based off an anime.. or does it?

Puzzle Chronicles (DS)- a ripoff of Puzzle Quest series?

Fossil Fighters (DS)- dig up fossils and battle them

Need for Speed: Nitro (DS)- *another* NFS game.. hmph

G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobtra (DS)- GGGGGG IIIIIIIIIIII JOEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!! -the Real DS hero

Naruto Shippuden: Ninja Destiny 2 (DS)- for fans of Naruto and Ninja Destiny (which was a decent fan service fighting game)

Spore Hero Arena (DS)- fight *stretch* Spores *yawn* in an Are-zzzZzzzz

Sushi Go Round (DS) and Fast Food Panic (DS)- for fans of Cooking Mama and Diner Dash respectively. Oh heck, Who CARES!?

Out of those, the only ones that really interest me are: Nostalgia and Legend of Kay (I think that's what it was)

(WOW, I just looked at the images for Legend of Kay...awesome! And it comes out October 2009??)

Picross was so addicting lol. The sequel is a definite buy for me along with C.O.P. and Dementium.

The link isn't wrong. It says "Legend of Kay (DS)" at the top. And since the PS2 version of the game released in 2005, I'm not sure why'd they show it again at this years E3 unless it really was coming out.

As far as the rest of your links...the whole reason for my short list was to try to list games that could end up surprising people and maybe being a good/above average game. And although its open to interpretation, most of your extended list is shovelware.

Seeing as I own Chinatown wars, i'm not too interested in COP. Not to mention Ubisoft hasn't exactly had a quality track record on Nintendo consoles at all. I'm quite interested in Dementium, although i've still got to play the first one Legend of Kay looks pretty darn beautfil, but i'll wait until the reviews are in before passing full judgement.

Picross 3D is good news to me, didn't even know about this, thanks :).
Also, Miama Law looks kinda like Phoenix Wright.

I don't know how much you guys take reviews into consideration but Nintendo Power gave Miami Law a 30/100. Now thats only one review and other reviews might bring up the score but as it stands right now on Metacritic.com, only 8 out of 639 DS games have a score below 30....

What's with the PS2 screens in Legend of Kay? The texture filter and high polycount says those aren't DS screens.

This. Another gamewith an artstyle that hides the DS's technical flaws. I hope the game's as epic as the screens look.

And yet it says that it's coming out for the DS...right on the top of the page even!

There were a few games that were listed as DS, yet the screens were not normal DS screenshots, so I excluded them. Another reason why I would exclude Legend of Kay until more solid evidence comes out of someone playing the game and showcasing the graphics. As for my list of shovelware, if you read the fine print it states "never said they were worth checking out!" ;)

I did read the fine print but the whole reason for this post was to list good games that might be getting overshadowed by Kingdom Hearts, Spirit Tracks, Mario & Luigi, Scribblenauts...ect, not to list any old DS game shown at E3.

As far as Legend of Kay. I'm not sure whats up with the screen shots. Maybe they didn't have anything from the DS version yet so they showed screens from the PS2 game? I found screens over at IGN that don't look quite as vibrant, but that might just be because they are smaller.

I'm not going to defend shovelware, but you yourself said it was open to interpretation so until someone actually plays half of those titles (which I doubt) there's no point in discussing it. And if I robbed your thread, well then I apologize sir. glon offers a good explanation for Legend of Kay screens "I've never had the pleasure of playing the PS2 game, but I am certainly pleased at this. Heard it was quite a good game and such. Gamespot/Faqs just added screen from IGN, but I'm skeptical as to whether they are from the DS version. The game appears fully 3D. That isn't impossible on the DS of course, but the graphics look exactly the same as the PS2 game (which IS an impossibility). The screens here don't have any of the blockiness of pixelation seen in all 3D DS games. I would really like to see more screens or video footage showing the DS game. The screens are also at large resolutions here, larger than a DS screen. The IGN version of the screens (same screens) are at DS resolution. I seriously doubt those are what the real game will look like."

I agree well from that list.
