What games disappointed you the most from the Wii? I am not asking which games were bad. You could still think they are good games. I am asking which games let you down the most. For me, I have 2. The first one being Mario Party 8. I am a huge Mario Party fan. I loved it since the N64 era. I do find it to be a decent game, and I do have fun playing it. I just don't think any of the mini games were that memorable. The boards were alright. They had nothing to really draw you in. In fact, I think the Mario Party franchise took a step down in general after the 4th one. The first 4 were my favorites for sure. I mean not only did they have the best mini games, but they also had great boards and things that really drew you in. Mario Party 3 had that great story mode, Mario Party 2 had the characters dress up, Mario Party 1 had the last place finisher getting attacked at the end, which was fun. Mario Party 8 just didn't compare, and I hope Mario Party 9 is better. I really do. The second one is Super Paper Mario. Don't get me wrong. This was a good game. I loved the story. It wasn't the typical Mario story, the villains were awesome. Dimentio might even be one of the best Paper Mario villains ever. He was one of Nintendo's finest for sure. The whole love story with Count Bleck and Tippi was cool. It was nice to see Bowser as a good guy. They allowed other villains to take the spotlight, which is what I like about TTYD as well. It wasn't just Bowser as the main villain, stealing Peach again. What made the game so disappointing though is that they completely got rid of the partners you had in the first 2 games who actually had personality and a story behind them. Tippi was the only interesting Pixl of the group. The game really was way too easy. The last fight against Super Dimentio was one of the easiest boss battles in Paper Mario history and he was the last one. They could have made that battle much harder. Also, they changed the battle style competely. I was looking forward to this game so much and it let me down. It didn't have the greatness of the first 2 Paper Mario games. I am glad to hear Paper Mario 3DS will be like the first 2, and hopefully the one for the Wii U (if there is one) will be like the first 2 as well. .

Donkey Kong Country Returns.

It's a great game, but I wanted Donkey Kong Country 4, and this just wasn't it.

Super Smash Bros Brawl. Excellent game, but its online multiplayer is embarrassing.

I hesitate whenever someone asks me to Brawl with them. The lag is unbearable and games like Mario Kart, Monster Hunter, and Animal Crossing has spoiled me greatly.

Super Paper Mario was much worse than other Mario RPGs, Super Mario Galaxy 2 wasn't nearly as enjoyable as the first, Epic Mickey was a wasted opportunity, Fragile Dreams became an atrocious mess during the later half of the game, Other M is quite possibly the worst game in the Metroid franchise. With that said, I enjoyed all of them.

Metroid Other M.

It was good, but I felt it was cut down in too many key "Metroid" areas, the major one being exploration.

No More Heroes

I heard a lot of great things about it, and although I enjoyed it, it was repetitive and at times dull. The boss fights, art style and humor made up for a lot of it.

New Super Mario Bros

Too easy.

I sorta know what you mean. I have not beat it yet, but Iam about 30 hours in or so. I think its an awesome game, but both it and Mario Galaxy 2 start off kinda slow. Maybe its their way of pacing the difficulty and complexity. As to where OoT kinda throws you in pretty fast, which I like.

For me the biggest dissapointment is probably Metroid Prime 3. Other M was more enjoyable, even though it is more flawed. Metroid Prime 1 and 2 anhilate both though.

Super Paper Mario was by no means a disappointment to me, because I didn't expect it to be Paper Mario 3. I would prefer a proper Mario RPG though.

Super Monkey Ball series has gone downhill and that sucks. I didn't like Banana Blitz.

Wii Sports Resort is disappointing because you have all these cool new mechanics but the game is underdeveloped, mostly lacking content. I understand it's a collection of many sports, but it was way too basic even for that.

Brawl was what sucked me into the Wii in the first place. Had I known what a horrible step back it was from Melee I would never have needed a Wii. I've learned my lesson though.

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts I was actually disappointed before I played it, when I found out it was no longer gonna be a traditional 3D platformer like the first two. When I played it, my disappointment was further reinforced. An absolute embarrassment of a game.

Same with me. It was a lot of the reason that I got a Wii in the first place. I still played the crap out of it, but it just didn't live up to melee in my opinion.

Bonus Round! The most surprisingly fun/enjoyable game that I got was Dead Space: Extraction. I played through it a few times now and think they did just an incredible job considering it's an on rails shooter. Better than the RE games for Wii, I think.

Not a Wii game, but Brink. It looked so awesome and my friends hyped it up like crazy, but then I played it and it was a mess. As for wii games that disappointed me, tough call, I'll say the wii's online in every game, which can collectively make itself into one game. If only Nintendo had embraced online. Oh well, Wii U, don't you disappoint us

I thought Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn (while a good game) seemed to be far to close to the GCN games to not be a bit of a downer. Still, it is a great Fire Emblem game, I just imagine what it would be like if it had come out much later in the Wii's life.

I thought the story was (really) bad, but the gameplay was good. If you're a fire emblem fan, I'd say it's worth checking out.

I have never played a FE game, but they appear somewhat linear and strategy based (squares and stuff). If that is the case, in addition to a bad story, I dont want to touch that :P.

How can people NOT like Super Paper Mario? Sure, it wasn't a pure RPG like the prequels, but it was still an awesome game, even if it was worse than TTYD.

Being disappointed in a game doesn't necessarily mean you hate or don't like the game. For me personally, I thought Super Paper Mario was a good game. I played through it a few times, and it was very enjoyable. It's just that Paper Mario and Paper Mario TTYD are two of my favorite games of all time, and when I heard they were making a new Super Paper Mario, I expected the gameplay to be like the first 2 games. It was certainly a unique game and there are a lot of cool characters that they put into there. I liked the gameplay, I liked the characters, I liked the story. It's just that I really expected Super Paper Mario to work like the first 2 games. Super Paper Mario was a great game. I was just disappointed because it wasn't nearly as good as the two Paper Mario games that came before it. Dimentio was an awesome villain, and he was certainly a highlight in that game, and the whole Tippi and Count Bleck love story was interesting as well.

Actually, as sad as this may sound, I didn't. I don't know why I didn't follow the game more closely since I am a huge Paper Mario fan and I have been checking for updates on the 3DS one. I might have known a few days before, but if I remember correctly, I think I actually thought is was gonna be like the first 2. I certainly don't regret buying it though because it does have a lot of good points like I said. When I first played it though, I remember being disappointed. Hopefully the one for the Wii U goes back to being like the N64 and Gamecube versions. I know the 3DS is going back to the old gameplay. That is, if they make one for the Wii U, which I am guessing they will.

It wasn't so much that it had different gameplay as it was that it didn't meet the quality standards set by TTYD.

You should play Dragonball Z Budokai Tenkaichi 3 online if you think Smash Bros is bad. Dbz Bt3 makes Smash Bros online look like Mario Kart. Dbz bt3 is a REALLY good game but the online is horrendous. MONSTER HUNTER 3 NEEDS DLC BADLY!

Sure it is worth playing, but it's like a GCN game essentially. Maybe ever so slightly better visuals.

This was my second choice. Both Smash and Mario Kart took turns in the wrong direction in terms of competitive game play.

Super Paper Mario bored me. The Thousand Year Door is one of my favorite games... this one... meh...

Tales of Symphonia 2 was a lot of fun and I do really like it, but I suppose it would inevitably fall short of the first one (which is also one of my favorite games).

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, not terrible, and I might actually re-buy it for GameCube somewhere down the road, but again... it had to follow Wind Waker, one of my favorite games.

No More Heroes 2 was disappointing as well. I actually prefered the first one. True, the first had terrible mini games and overworld, but I loved the ending and I thought the bosses had more charater. I know, too bad there won't be a sequel.

Super Mario All-Stars: 25th Anniversery Edition, need I say more?

Actually given more thought, I change my pick from Skyward Sword to ExciteBots.

Skyward sword finished off really strong, and Excitebots was really fun, but WAS SO DANG SHORT. It was like I was just getting into the groove of the game and it ends. Sadface, disappointment.

Banjo-Kazooie Nuts & Bolts I was actually disappointed before I played it, when I found out it was no longer gonna be a traditional 3D platformer like the first two. When I played it, my disappointment was further reinforced. An absolute embarrassment of a game.Nicksonman

Not a Wii game. And it's actually a really good game, you were just blinded by nostalgia. That's why the game, in the end, could be described as a flop, because no one wanted it since it was not a platformer. But it truly was a very creative, just amazing game. I've rode in an accurate remake of the USS Enterprise, a mobile home, and an ice cream truck. That's a lot of variation, right there.

Anyways, I honestly didn't get enough Wii games to be that disappointed. If I had to have one, though... Boom Blox. Steven Spielburg + gratuitous destruction = $$$ right? Well, the jenga-type games are just impossible with the Wii remote in my opinion. Everything else is fun enough I guess, but some how I didn't find any enjoyment. I do intend on getting its sequel though, it seems to be the cure I needed.

Mario Kart Wii. Seriously, worst in the franchise. Luckily Mario Kart 7 is awesome

I didn't like it much either - everything looked too 'big' and it seemed to go too slow as well.

Spider-Man 3. Took it back an hour later. And it took an hour because I ate breakfast first.
