I happened to buy a DS Lite with a broken top screen, and I was wondering which games to play on it. Some games that don't use the top screen as much include:
Meteos Elite Beat Agents / Ouendan Some Clubhouse Games games, such as Billiards
Any other suggestions? I think I heard Final Fnatasy III rarely uses the top screen.
Elite Beat Agents? Sure, if you don't want to know what the hell is going on. Someone also mentioned Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow. Have fun not knowing where to go, like... all the freaking time. If I were you, if I couldn't get a new one or get that one fixed, I wouldn't play at all.
I got it for real cheap ($25 on ebay), and I already have a working one. I think paying $75 to fix it wouldn't really be a good idea since I already have one, so I'll just use it for some games. I thought of a few more:

Try contacting Nintendo. They might fix it for you for free considering the DS Lite has been out for less than a year, so you wouldn't need any proof that you purchased it less than a year ago. Just say the top screen stopped working and you didn't do anything to cause it.
Call Nintendo, I can't believe anyone didn't suggest that :? They'll fix it for FREE!!!! If it's less than a year old which it should be if it's a lite. And if they don't cover it for some odd reason it's only 50 bucks. Or you could just return it to the store you bought it from and exchange it for another one.
You guys are right; the screen isn't cracked, so Nintendo might likely cover it. I need proof of purchase though...I don't have a receipt, I got it on ebay, and I knew it didn't work...
yeah there isnt really any game i can think of where the top screen isnt used at all, i mean even if just the map or a few details are displayed those really do help at times and kinda are part of the complete experience.
You could go into settings and set it so GBA games play on the bottom screen instead of the default top. So, still not a bad deal to have spent $25 for basically a prettier GBA ;)
GBA games is the way to go... But Meteos can be played with one screen, and is a rather nice game. Note that you can setup which screen to be used for GBA games.
