The review is up and they gave it an 8.3 out of 10 which is a great score! They mentioned how the game does alot of fan service etc in the way that it expands upon the Resident Evil story. They also talked about how it contains a good amount of content. Head over to www.gametrailers.com to watch it.

I cant wait for the GS and IGN reviews.

Cool. I was expecting all 6's and 7's.

I might just have to pick this up.

Seems pretty cool. It said the zapper is actually worse to use than just the wiimote itself. Interesting. Anyway, I'll probably just rent it and beat it instead of buying since there are so many great games coming out soon.

That's a better score than I was expecting. It should be interesting to see how it stacks up across the board when it has been reviewed by everybody.

Ill be so made if GS gives this game a 7.5. the game deserves a 8.0 to 8.5. I already played aton of it. The only problem is the aiming and its pretty slight.

I'm still refusing to buy it. If RE4:WE sells better than UC we have a better chance of Capcom making a proper RE game on the Wii. If not we may just get lots of On-rails shooters...

I think this game will be like the last full fledged effort at a console on rails shooter. I think of it as an awsome grand finale even if we will get some crappy ones after this will be the definitive end to this type of genre and the final recap on RE0 to the fall of the umbrella corp.

I'm just worried that if this sells well capcom will think "Oh gee, the Wii gamers want RE5...and they like on-rails shooters...OMG RE5Chronicles! Genius."Where as I want an RE4 engine game. I was originally going to buy RE:UC back when it was an RE4 style game, now I'm not going to >_>

I would have LOVED this game if it was RE4, now I will likely just rent it and play the hell out of it for a few days then return it.

Hahaha yes! I played the game at an expo and I would give it AA too. The game is great. Capcom did it again.

The only part I didn't like was when they said the Graphics are always a step behind RE:4 which makes me a bit sad, but otherwise looks to be a great game and will pick it up in a bargin bin when it drops because right now my wallet can't surport my gaming wishlist.

they said in an interview a long time ago that if games like RE UC and RE4 did not do good on wii then games like RE5 would not be coming to wii. So please do buy it, its still fun and its coop.

in all honesty I think if Capcom did decide to bring RE5 over they wouldn't change hte entire game to make it like UC but leave it like it is and port it.

note: I am basically saying I agree with you that buying UC would/could help bring RE5 over.

Great now things just got more complicated for me! Too many games next week... I was planning on getting Medal of Honor Heroes 2, but now I have to consider this one too... on the one hand, RE is on rails... on the other hand, it's much longer than Medal of Honor... what shall I do?

depends on how much you think you'll use the online play for MOH imo.

Probably almost not at all, to be honest. That's why I'm concerned about the short length of the single-player campaign. And as for RE, I'm concerned about the fact that it's on rails, so I might still prefer MOH... Or watch me end up with both. Or neither.

Yeah I'm not to keen on the on-rails thing either. I mean even if it does have a lot of replayability with having to collect things or tougher enemies to me, because it's on rails it's not something I may want to do as much as if it was like other RE games when you move around in 3rd person which in that case I'm sure I would enjoy it. I can't say much though since I am just going on what I know from other games like this I have played. I am mainly comparing it to house of the dead 2 that I had for dreamcast though.

On Rails doesn't really matter, think about it RE4 was virtually on rails anyway it was so linear. All on rails is doing is making it nearly the same as re4 but without the little moving around bits. Sounds good to me, I'll buy any RE game though, (well unless they get really bad scores) so this is a must have for me.

I think thats a wrong way to look at it... you are saying that if UC does better than RE4 then we will just get more on rails shooters but RE4 has already sold over a million copies. I think that they already know that RE4 did great but if UC doesnt do so good they will just figure that we want budget priced games and the only other stuff we will get would be more remakes (of course RE2:Wii would be pretty cool for $30).

We as the consumer have already shown that we like RE4 on the Wii, now we just need to show that we are willing to pay $50 for a new RE game

that's probably my biggest want for the game is it seems to over the entire story as a whole which I like. I never played the first RE and when I played 2,3, veronica or 4 I didn't really tie things together story wize I just played it and had a good time.

Haha yeah, all I can think of is House of the Dead too. Probably not a fair way to judge it, but it just seems like on-rails belongs in the arcade... I might still give this a chance though.

yeah it's hard for me to explain why an on-rails shooter normally doesn't have a lot of replayability for me. I guess it deals with the idea that you don't have control over what you're doing so to speak and it's kind of like watching a movie, you know what's coming up before it happens. Mind you, you could say the same thing about any game but it just doesn't feel the same to me. I mean yes you can know how many bad guys are in one area or whatever but you could like go around this building, come at them from this angle, etc where as an on-rails game you can't. I still might get it at well just to see all the backstory on everything, but I do hope htey port RE5 since I have no plans of getting a 360 or ps3 but still want to play that game badly.

A port of RE5 would be nice, and Yeah rails hurts my anticipation of such a well made game... but 8+ is good enough for me, this game is a must buy... November has been a good month.

Game Trailers does seem hard on games too, at least from the fact they gave SMG a 9.2, which is good but it was rated higher other places.

I probably would if it weren't for having to get a GC memory card, I hate that lol.

[QUOTE="The_Pig_Hostage"]Great now things just got more complicated for me! Too many games next week... I was planning on getting Medal of Honor Heroes 2, but now I have to consider this one too... on the one hand, RE is on rails... on the other hand, it's much longer than Medal of Honor... what shall I do?kidrock17xp

depends on how much you think you'll use the online play for MOH imo.

They gave SMG a 9.8, not a 9.2.

ah, maybe I was looking at the ratings for the review video or something.

I remember that the Wiik in Review guys at IGN initially hated this game so it's nice to see that it's been improved. I wouldn't call it great just yet but I am a little more optimistic.
