Too many games next week... I was planning on getting Medal of Honor Heroes 2, but now I have to consider this one too... on the one hand, RE is on rails... on the other hand, it's much longer than Medal of Honor... what shall I do?Number_1_Gamer
depends on how much you think you'll use the online play for MOH imo.
Probably almost not at all, to be honest. That's why I'm concerned about the short length of the single-player campaign. And as for RE, I'm concerned about the fact that it's on rails, so I might still prefer MOH... Or watch me end up with both. Or neither.
Yeah I'm not to keen on the on-rails thing either. I mean even if it does have a lot of replayability with having to collect things or tougher enemies to me, because it's on rails it's not something I may want to do as much as if it was like other RE games when you move around in 3rd person which in that case I'm sure I would enjoy it. I can't say much though since I am just going on what I know from other games like this I have played. I am mainly comparing it to house of the dead 2 that I had for dreamcast though.
Haha yeah, all I can think of is House of the Dead too. Probably not a fair way to judge it, but it just seems like on-rails belongs in the arcade... I might still give this a chance though.
yeah it's hard for me to explain why an on-rails shooter normally doesn't have a lot of replayability for me. I guess it deals with the idea that you don't have control over what you're doing so to speak and it's kind of like watching a movie, you know what's coming up before it happens. Mind you, you could say the same thing about any game but it just doesn't feel the same to me. I mean yes you can know how many bad guys are in one area or whatever but you could like go around this building, come at them from this angle, etc where as an on-rails game you can't. I still might get it at well just to see all the backstory on everything, but I do hope htey port RE5 since I have no plans of getting a 360 or ps3 but still want to play that game badly.
A port of RE5 would be nice, and Yeah rails hurts my anticipation of such a well made game... but 8+ is good enough for me, this game is a must buy... November has been a good month.
Game Trailers does seem hard on games too, at least from the fact they gave SMG a 9.2, which is good but it was rated higher other places.
They gave SMG a 9.8, not a 9.2.
ah, maybe I was looking at the ratings for the review video or something.
