I am kind of getting this vibe with the WiiU. Just looking at previews of games like Wonderful 101, Tank Tank Tank, Rayman Legends, Pikmin 3 and New Super Mario U, is really giving me a feeling that we are heading into a new console gaming renaissance much like the old days with the SNES. Do you feel it?

Can't say I do. The games that have been announced so far don't seem especially different than games released over the past few years.

No.... 3 games you mentioned are just sequels from games of this gneration or past. Wonderful 101 although a new IP has character models that give off a Viewtiful Joe vibe.

I don't know... I think even the hardest of hardcore Nintendo fans have some reservations about the Wii U... Does it have more of a promising start than the Wii? Yeah... but that isn't saying much. I think two things need to occur for a renaissance to happen again. 1) Third party support needs to triple, which won't happen because the hardware will not last. 2) First party support needs to be more frequent, which will not happen because we all know Nintendo is slow as hell in releasing their games.

^Your second point is false, Nintendo released a ton of games for the Wii, the most they have for a system since the SNES. Your first point is likely wrong as well, first off, there likely wont be a massive jump in performance again; even if there was, those consoles would be destined for failure, leaving the Wii U as the most viable platform. To answer the topic question, no, the gaming audience is lost, the culture that use to surround gaming is dead and I don't see it coming back.

It's Nintendo for the modern times.

The Wii U is their most optimal option for survival on the market (as a hardware as well as software company).
