Like any game, the novelty does wear off eventually.
I don't play it as much as I did when I first got it, but when I do play it it's still just as fun.
I've been more pre-occupied with SmackDown vs Raw and Super Mario Galaxy the last few weeks, but I have played GH occasionally and I think it's just as fun now as it was when I first snagged it.
Still playing it, still fun, although it is becoming more of a chore as I am progressing up the difficulty. Easy was aimed well for someone who had never played the game, medium was comfortable for the most part, but I struggled with some of the later songs, and had to retry a couple of them until I got good enough to get all the way through the song. Hard is so far kicking my ass, and I am still struggling with that fifth button.
i quit playing it as in trying to beat it once i hit that slipknot song. i still play the songs i have now, and ill prob pick up a second guitar next year

if you played the first ones like i did religously and could pwn songs on expert trust me its even better. if you cant its the best to start on i guess i wouldnt know
GH is the only game I have for the wii that I play more than once a week. I play it almost every day. I play on expert and have all songs unlocked. To me, it never gets old.
Hells yes its still fun. The game itself has awsome replay value, online adds to that, and when DLC comes out (Downloadable content) it will have almost infinte replay value. The games fun almost never ends.
