Can you play GH3 without the guitar peripheral for Wii? (just using the normal Wii controller)

Doubt it, and if you could - why would you want to?

I dont think so but even if you could they dont sell it without the controller.. the only versions of the game they sell without controllers are on cosoles that have had a GH game on their before.

Since I actually have the game I'll answer. Yes you can with just the Wii remote. It states so in the manual. I doubt it would be fun though. You also can't buy the game new without the controller either. I guess it would be good if you didn't want to buy a second game/guitar bundle (like I had to) to play multiplayer.

Yeah, I may use it for Co Op with my friends so we can unlock the Co Op only songs.

I've been playing the demo on 360 with just the controller for ages now, so it will probably work on Wii.

Look in the hints/cheat section on the game page.

yes you can play with just the Wiimote, I tried it yesterday... it felt really wierd but it also kind of made sense, the way they had the buttons mapped out... i kept getting thrown off by the green button though, because it is B and you have to hold it on its side if you wanna play it right. another thing that sucks about it is I don't think you can do hammer-ons with the wii remote, you'd have to move your fingers insanely fast.... stick to the guitar... its better.
