Is it normal to have this ghosting effect during some cutscenes but not on actual gameplay?

you have to hold the 3ds without moving it because then your eyes go out of focus... just move the system a little and blink and it should go back to normal..
however sometimes there is very tiny ghosting even with eveything setup right but it shouldnt be all the time.
When the ghosting effect appears I try every angle and distance possible… Still it's not on every cutscene and at times the cutscene is perfectly fine.you have to hold the 3ds without moving it because then your eyes go out of focus... just move the system a little and blink and it should go back to normal..

Like the other poster said, I remember all the CSs being in 2D.... the 3D light even turns off during cut scenes. It has been a few weeks since I actually played through the game and got cut scenes, are there some 3D cut scenes I'm forgetting about? Don't see how you'd get ghosting if they're in 2D, unless maybe your eyes are blurring or crossing slightly due to the sudden lack of 3D.
Ghosting is a typical result of eye strain. Usually when your focus just isn't quite right. If it is eye strain, and that doesn't necessarily mean your eyes feel uncomfortable, rather they just cannot focus on the screen properly, then there are two solutions. Either turn the 3D down a bit, or stop playing for half hour and let your eyes recover. If its particular cutscenes though, it could be that the 3D effect is slightly stronger in those scenes, compared to other cutscenes. Again, it could be eyestrain.Raiko101Correct, 3d or 2D, eye strain can make you see this effects, specially when focusing on such a small viewing area. Obviously, depending on your eye condition 3D effect can tire your eyes faster. Just take a break, walk around as the game itself recommends at the beginning Regards

Where did you guys come up with this?
Eye strain does not cause ghosting in 3D. Its called crosstalk and its normal for current 3D displays.

Ghosting happens when one image becomes more visible in both eyes, and may also be common in displays, but if you're eyes aren't capable of focusing on the screen properly, that is to say if your eyes are strained, ghosting can occur as a result. I had this problem with Pilotwings for nearly a week. Couldn't have the 3D all the way up as the ghosting effect was awful. Come the end of the week it was fine. I also get ghosting after lengthy periods of play, in which my eyes are straining to see the image clearly.I had this problem with Pilotwings for nearly a week. It seems your basing this on personal experience where the tilt of the 3DS, the depth, or the contrast of colours can completely change the outcome.

I have used a lot of 3D in the past, which somewhat helps me spot crosstalk very easily. However, my friends haven't used very much 3D, and don't see crosstalk very easy.
If you "eye strain theory" was true, my eyes would be "strained" and their eyes would be fine. This is not the case though, They don't notice the crosstalk until I point it out, which is when they too see it the exact same as me.
The more normalized you get to stereoscopic 3D, the easier you will spot its current flaws.
