I just finished reading the article in Nintendo Power about Golden Eye for the Wii, and it says it is set to release in November. Now I really want to play it, but I also want to play the Call of Duty, but I am going to be torn between both for screen time. What are your guy's thoughts on this? I think releasing them both really close like that will hurt sales for one of them, if not both.

I think that gaming vets will go and get golden eye while newer gamers who have never played golden eye and only know cod will get cod. It will all come down to how many vets will come and support the shooter that helped revolutionize shooters for all time.

Its gonna be like two CoD's in one month... lol... but seriously, Activision is certainly going to need GoldenEye veterans' support to make some money while the new CoD hits... I'm sure many Wii owners (especially young teens) are as happy as a rat in a cheese factory that the new CoD is releasing for Wii at the same time it is for PS3 and 360... This will be interesting to read about when the results are in...

I'm still happy playing Modern Warfare 2 so I don't really care about Black Ops. I think one COD every 2 years or so if fine, especially with map packs. I'm more worried about Goldeneye and Conduit 2. I really want both of those games and I will get both, but I'll probably save one for someone to buy me for Christmas. I'm just not sure which one to get first.

I'm not gonna pay the full monty for either game, so I'll just entertain myself with Conduit 2 and whatever PC shooter that comes up in the meanwhile.

I find myself wondering how things will pan out this Fall. There are so many highly-anticipated titles. It wouldn't surprise me if at least one or a few titles are delayed until the spring.

Doesn't really affect my decision, I'm still buying Goldeneye.

I've never been a fan of Call of Duty, Goldeneye has nostagia so there's no contest.

No worries for Goldeneye or Black Ops. Sega should worry about Conduit 2. If the listings on Gamestop is correct and it's also coming in November, the game is basically sent to die.

I have a funny feeling both COD and Golden Eye will sell 1 million easily and Conduit 2 will sell probably more than 100 K.

Sega likes killing their games and losing money. Remember when they released Resonance of Fate in the same month as Final Fantasy XIII? Yeah. Smart business move...

I hope Sega moves the game to October or September or moves it to next year to avoid getting destroyed.

If Conduit 2 were to get good reviews, compared to Goldeneye and Black Ops, i'm sure many people who said they weren't going to buy it, will actually buy it.

Conduit 2?

I'm definitely getting Conduit 2. I'm up in the air with Goldeneye. The game will be great if they give you some freedom instead of scripting your movements like we've seen in the trailers.

Black Ops is going to be OK, though I hope single player is more like the beggining of WaW than Modern Warfare. I got bored of WaW when it tried to go for the cinematic experience during the sniping missions. Way too scripted for my tastes. I don't like being micro-managed and there are way too many games that want to micro-manage you right now. MWRs single player was a mess. Since Treyarch designed Black Ops, I have reason to hope for a decent game.

The quality of both Goldenye and Conduit 2 is up for questioning. HVS disappointed with the last one, and rarely has Activison taken their Wii titles seriously outside of Guitar Heroes. Also, they could just cash in on nostalgia and fail to deliver, like they did with Rogue Agent.

Black Ops isn't even a factor in my mind. MW2 is all I'd need for a while. Too much COD is unhealthy.

It all comes down to polish. Will Goldeneye be just as fun as it was years ago, or will Conduit 2 improve in ways that rival today's best FPSs? Only the best game will get consumer dollars.

Or the "vets" will realize that they have no reason to go back and play a game like Goldeneye and even less of a reason to support a remake of the game that could easily end up being bad or mediocre. I'll get one, both, or neither depending on how they turn out. Call of Duty on the 360 though.

Goldeneye has classic controller support.

That just made the game look 10x better to me.

I don't really see the point in playing shooters on the Wii without motion controls. I doubt I would've even finished The Conduit with a gamepad, but the motion control gameplay made me finish it twice, even though it was a mediocre shooter at heart.

I can afford to buy all 3, so it's not a problem.

What will be a problem is playing all of them online within similiar timeframes.

Couldn't they hold of GoldenEye 'till Christmas?
