If you like FPS games,Metroid prime hunters is a nice multiplayer game.Racing games?if so, then Mario Kart DS is the right choice. If you like Contra games then you should pick up Contra 4,its awesome with multiplayer.There are of course many other but i recommend these :).

New super mario bros has some great multiplayer. Guitar hero is pretty sweet but also expensive. Mario kart is really fun and it has WiFi too.

clubhouse games is a must-have, and tetris ds is good if you like that kind of game.

Surprisingly my most played 2 player game is Animal Crossing: Wild World. Always had fun just wandering around the world and finding stuff to do.

Go check out the DS Recommendation Thread. Has a great selection of games and has some really good Mutiplayer Games.
