This is an idead I came up with the other day. You could easily use EBGames/Gamespot as a bank where all you do is reserve items and get your money back when needed. There is so much to reserve, so you could hold a lot. Think about it. It would be like a bank that no one could really track except the store the pre-orders are at. Authorities couldn't track it. Not supporting illegal purposes whatsoever!! Just saying that It would be a perfect way to keep your money unntrackable.Banks and businessess could no longer follow you.

Tell me what you think.

I work at Gamestop, and at least me and my employees would pick up on you so easily........plus you don't even get interest for it.  Not really a good idea.

Okay, but why use EBGames/Gamestop as a bank when we already have real banks that work perfectly ? :? Kind of useless...

That's kind of the whole point.

He doesn't want banks to keep track of it.

Preordering is terrible.  I preoredered the N64 and didn't get until three months after it was released.  I saw it in the store but since I preordered, they wouldn't let me have one until my number came up.

With a court order, law enforcement would be able to get Gamestop to cough up all your information, just like a bank.  There's no "doctor-patient" privilege with videogame stores.  Also, as far as I know, Gamestop doesn't have ATMs, so you'd only be able to get at your money between 10am and 8pm.

No ATM's, but that's still better banking hours than any bank I've ever seen.

You pick on your customers? Why does that not surprise me? Another reason to not shop at gamestop or eb... the employees think they're somehow better than everyone that walks into the store because they sell video games. Yeah, congratulations, you won life.

wtf?

Ah, I am going to have to disagree, I know of at least 2 gamestops I go to where the employees are nice, and the girls at both of these places are cute and friendly.

They can track you. They'd notice that your name is under a lot of reserves, you put a lot of money on games you never pick up, plus there's the fact that they have to get atleast one copy of every game you reserve to that store. On top of that you'd only be hurting the employees, sure you give them a lot of bonus reserves, but you cancel a lot sometime too, the store would be getting a lot more reserves than others, which would cause problems for the company and employees. They wouldn't know waht to do and it's likely they may suspect some sort of fraudulent activity.

Overall I think the idea sucks. Gamestop pays WAY too close attention on details like that. They push reserves and things like that and when you decide to make a "withdrawal" you end up putting someone in like -15 reserves in one day. That person may get fired, on top of that they may refuse to do business with you.

You're better off burying it in the ground where no one can find it.

This is a bad idea and here's why:

-You can't access your money or check your balance without going to Gamestop.

-You can't build your credit or pay through debit

-Most importantly, you can't hold more than $50 per game (multiple game deposits would be very hard to keep track of).
