I have been reading a lot of reviews from other places and Mario Galaxy has got nothing but near perfect reviews, if GS gives this game anything under a AAA then they are really Bias!
Personally I couldn't care if Gamespot gives it a 5.5, I look at reviews for an in depth view on the game. Not just to go "Right thats below a 9.0 **** Gamespot I'm leaving". I find Gamespot to be very honest, and there have been many games where at first I can't belive the score it gets but then after reading the review and playying it for myself I find they were very fair.
This game better get at least AAA... like my sig says, if it gets below a 9, I'm out of here forever. That would kinda be nice - I spend way too much time on this site reading the forums as it is ;).
I'm actually quite confident that the game will get AAA. The 1up review was from someone who gave It-That-Must-Not-Be-Named a 9 (not the official 1up reviewer for that game, though), so that could mean that Galaxy is better and could get a 9.5 here.
Along with that, the features in the game (Galaxy) look spectacular. The different galaxies look to give some variety, and the little mini-galaxies look like they could be good fun, along with the rest of the game.
Galaxy must get a 9.0 or more. I mean, it has a good gameplay, the graphics look great, it is long, and it seems to have replay value, considrind you can beat the game with Luigi also. So I don't see why this game can get a lower rating than 9.0. We'll see...
I wouldnt be suprised if it got lower than a nine. Gamespot usually rates games on what they expect it to be wether than what it actually is. But I still think it would be AAA from Gamespot.
Who cares. Are you not going to play the game if it gets an 8.5? It's just a review, in the end its your personal opinion that really matters.seb_867
Well, nobody's saying that, it's just nice to see a game get the credit it deserves. Of course I still bought and enjoyed Metroid Prime 3 despite it getting an 8.5, but that doesn't mean I can't gripe about a great game not getting the credit it deserved, while an overhyped piece of gaming mediocrity like Halo 3 is treated like the second coming of Jesus Christ.
And, as far as the speaker factoring into the Twilight Princess review, isn't that more of a complaint against the Wii than it is against the game? Which is more my problem with that review, it seemed to be more of a snarky review against the Wii than it was actually a review of Twilight Princess.
Galaxy will get an 8.5 here. GS loves that money they get from hits. They're corporate, yeah? Corporate exists soley for money, and what better way to get money than to sell out from ads!

better pack your bags then. i mean, these are the guys that gave TP a 8.8!! they are biased, plain and simple.
TP deserved that score, theres no need to keep bringing that up. IT WAS A GAMECUBE GAME WITH SLAPPED ON WII CONTOLS. The bow controls worked well but the shaking the wiimote to attack didn't.
Now judging by what 1UP said I believe galaxy deserves a 10, if they can't name 1 big thing that would make it a 9.5 I'm going to protest. not "theres this weird sound here" or "this boss was dumb" I want 1 solid reason for giving it less than perfect.
I gave up on gamespot's reviews system ages ago. I don't think I've read a gamespot review in almost a year. I'm here for the forums mainly, and occasionaly news.
I don't care if galaxy it gets a 1.0 or a 10, it will be biased, either by gamespots obvious disslike for the wii, or by them not wanting to look stupid compared to other reviews - it will be one or the other and whatever GS give it, it won't take anything away from it being a great game.
It should get about a 9.5 from what I have played. Camera is a little disorienting, it has you in moment turning your head. I remember as a kid doing this in strange moments and this game warps your sense of space, but not totally. I thought portal and paper mario had a change of perception but this one has them beaten.
Otherwise, everthing from music to the masterful level design has had me stunned.It is like mario 64 only so much more with what can be done with the Wii hardware.
The only reason I wouldn't rate it a 10 is the graphics are lacking because of the native 480p.
Other than that if you are a fan of mario you will love it

I frankly don't care what GS scores Galaxy. I played a demo and I know that it's going to be a stellar game, or, at least, I have very high expectations for it (a little like my expectations for SSBB). If they give it a lower score than 9, then that's their opinion; I'm not going to let that deter me from the game and it's not going to make me leave the site. I'll just complain if it doesn't get the score it truly deserves.
As much as I disagree with the Twilight Princess score, I can't see SMG getting anything below a 9.5. GS loves everything Mario (the high Super Paper Mario score and the incredibly high WarioWare: Smooth Moves score serve as evidence to this). If this game is better than Mass Effect, it may get a 10. I really think either SMG or Mass Effect will get a 10.
