Apparently there is one in the works but there is very little info on the game at this point. A controller is in the works, however I am curious as to know how it will work. See it is possible, however the buttons need to be about the same size as the console controllers or at least a bit smaller, the strum bar could be smaller. The thing is that you can put a regular Guitar Hero controller into a small compact unit if you know how to do it, as the hardware inside the actual controller is pretty small, there is a circuit board that controls the button input and strum bar movement. The whammy bar might be an issue though, they could always take it out. Wireless would be best for the controller. Due for an early 2008 release apparently.

Anyone have any thoughts about how they could make this game work?

I don't think it would work well on the DS, just play it on a console....it seems that is where it belongs

Well they could make it work but still, it would be nothing compared to the console versions.

I can not see this happening, if it would happen though it'll be a flop. I couldn't see it being fun, playing on that small of a screen, and having to use a controller for a handheld isn't right >o

Jam Sessions sucks, big waste of 360 bucks, especially when the songs are crud and there is an extreme lack of chords.

WOW, i can honestly say that is the dumbest idea ive ever heard.

the DS is for playing games on the go. no one wants to carry around a big ass guitar to play it on the DS. Guitar Hero is only fit to be on consoles. its an interesting idea, but not a good one.

You are so joking, right?

Jam Sessions DOES NOT EQUAL Guitar Hero.

They are SO completely different that it is not even funny. Jam Sessions IS NOT A GAME. It is a guitar simulator that turns your DS into an accoustic guitar. No more, no less.

I can't wait for Guitar Hero DS, personally. I try not to spend too much time thinking about the peripheral (controller) for it, because it makes my head hurt, but I'm thinking they'll come up with a guitar similar to the PS versions, that has a slot where the DS can hook onto it so that the DS is still close enough to see while playing. Much like some instruments have mini podiums attatched for sheet music.

maybe they will have the controller plug into the adapter port. I never heard about a controller though, I heard that the DS version would be totally different from the consoles and that it would use the touch screen, kind of like elite beat agents. I'd just stay with the console versions. Although they aren't portable, they are amazingly fun, and you know what you are getting.

Nah, RedOctane confirmed awhile ago that it's going to have some kind of peripheral (special controller). Personally, I'm stoked.
