guitar hero rock band 2 compatible

If this is true..... I'm going to be happy as hell b/c in Rock Band 2 there are a lot of songs that I like

I read somewhere that the guitars would definitely be compatible, but not the drums. And, I had actually accepted that I couldn't play drums with RB2. If this is true, its the icing on the cake.
