I had so many DS games that it was hard for me to count them all. I just bought them religiously and got whatever good title that came out. But after some time, I stopped playing these games. I swear, I only played like the first ten minutes and never touched them since. Mario VS Donkey Kong 2, Star Fox Command, and Final Fantasy Fables Chocobo Tales are some of these games. And some titles just got so boring after awhile. Etrian Odyssey, Hoshigami Remix, Lunar Knights, and even Pokemon Diamond are some of these games that just got tiresome after awhile.

I just ended up selling more than half of my collection...and you know what? I feel no regrets about it. I still kept the titles that I know I'll still play and enjoy. Planet Puzzle League, Puzzle Quest, Metroid Prime Hunters, Mario Kart, and New Super Mario Bros. are some of the titles that I'd never sell.

Anyway, anyone else fall into this trap of buying but not playing?

I do that too. Although I've cut back greatly as of late.

These are all ones I havn't even PLAYED yet.

Boktai 2

Castlevania: Curse of Darkness

Dark Cloud 2

GrimGrimoire

Gun

Jade Empire

Manhunt

Marc Ecko's Getting Up

Metal Arms: Glitch in the System

Ninja Gaiden Black

Odama

Oddworld: Munch's Oddysee

Oddworld: Stranger's Wrath

Silent Hill

Silent Hill 4: The Room

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Xenosaga

Too many. Right now I'm playing through Odin Sphere, and when i'm done one of these is going in. This summer I'm running through all these (attempting to anyway, Dark Cloud and Xenosaga alone could fill a summer), because I KNOW that this holiday these will get no playtime.

I think most of us do. We buy games sometimes we like them and sometimes we don't. Either way we play them hard core for a few hours/days or weeks then we toss them aside and forget all about them. We all do.

Yeah, I do it, but it drives me crazy and I've been trying to go back and play all the games I purchased but never finished. This includes GBA games. It's going pretty good, in the last few months I've finished a ton of games for DS. EO, Contact, CoM, Magical Starsign, Breath of Fire(GBA) come to mind right away. Once I finally beat all my DS/GBA games, I can go start to work on my Wii games, which have been seriously left to collect dust.

No that doesn't happen to me ,I only buy games that i know i will like and play.  I read reviews and if their bad i usually wont get.... So far my collection rest at  6 games. I haven't bought games then sold them. I just play one game for few days then rotate games. I not really bored of any of em yet.

No one will ever trick me!

Well, not so much DS games (besides Madden 05 which I REALLY Regret wasting my money on), but I bought Sonic and the Secret Rings and stopped playing after 15 minutes. It was just so frustrating.

Tell me about it; I've got 102 DS games and I haven't played a single one for over 10 minutes in two weeks! Homework be dammed.

I collect DS games though, so no biggie; I'll play them all at some point in my life :)

ASK_Story

Of course, but it usually only happens when a deal comes around. Might as well save some money and the games can always be played later. That being said I have far too many PS1 games that still have yet to be touched with a nice growing collection of PS2. My DS collection usually finds itself being played as soon as a new game is added as I'm not big on dropping $30 randomly for one game and not playing it.

It would be hard to list all the games that have not been played or only partially played, also who wants to read lists of games, really? *cough*

What is the point of collecting games if you're not going to play them, especially rather pitiful ones such as Elf Bowling 1 and 2? I can sorta kinda understand collecting comics and not reading them or baseball cards cause well...thats the point, but games appreciate about as much as my VHS collectio and age just as well.

I play the games, I just don't beat them. They turn boring, but there are a few exceptions: advanced wars 2, super mario 64 DS, various short games (bros in arms, mario cart), but everything else is sitting around my room, unfinished.

Not really I can't afford to buy a game and not play it, but when i'm done with a game, I'M DONE WITH A GAME. As soon as i'm done with a game i trade it in for a new game. So my collection never really goes above 3 0r 4 games, I know it's sad but that's life:?

sometimes, yeah. i bought Yoshi's Island DS and played it up until the middle of world 3, then i stopped. actually i got stuck for a little while at that point and never picked it up again. i also bought the darkness for 360 a week or two ago and decided that i would rather beat crackdown and beat dead rising for a second time than play the darkness. but that's just because i suck at the darkness

I too are one of those people who buy's games and not playing any of them. My reason why? I'm a collector and only have time to play like 5 hours out of the week. From my full time job and friends to hang out with. It's called "life".

Yep. I still have the game Tennis for the original Game Boy still shrink wrapped, as well as some N64 and XBOX games. I did take the gamble of opening my only DS game that was shrink wrapped recently that I purchased at Toys R Us during the Buy 2 Get 1 Free offer. I did sell the DS game Ping Pals that I found really cheap at Toys R Us to another store making a good profit.

Like I said before, I do this indeed. I was thinking about it today and here's the biggest example. I bought Pac 'N Roll around September of 2005, played it for 15 minutes or so to test it, and haven't touched it eveer since. That's almost two years! Out of my 100+ DS collection that's the game I haven't played in the longest.
