[QUOTE="Kottwitz_04"][QUOTE="the_leet_kid"]There can be first person adventures that use a mouse and keyboard setup... Your logic is very flawed.-Despacio-
The Elder Scolls Series for instance
True, I admit I didn't put too much thought into this post, just trying to pass the day. I just found it interesting Nintendo is boasting about the mouse and keyboard setup which is notorious for having superior controls for traditional FPS shooters, while Nintendo fans cry out all the time that Metorid is NOT a FPS but a FPA.
I'm curious though, is Metroid 3 going to have lock-on, becuase to me that is what truly seperetd it from the ideal FPS. The Lock-on made it seem more like you were using yoru mechanical suits ability.
Matroid of course on the DS had no lock-on and many considered it a FPS and a depature from the series on the Cube. Come to think of it, the story of Metroid 3 shares some simalarities with Metroid Hunters on the DS in that you will be planet hopping.
Anyways back to point, it would be odd to aim for mouse and keboard controls but keep in the lock-on system that plays a prominent role in Metroid Prime 1 and 2.
Any game that has the option of aiming for you is no FPS.Â
