Alright, I was wiping down my touch screen like I always do, but I guess I overdid it since some water got in. Now most of the screen is blotchy and dim (but working) with some bright spots. Has this sort of thing happened to anyone else? I tried to help get rid of it by blowing on it with a hair dryer (set to warm) but I'm afraid I just made it worse.

Any help?

I would just let it dry, just keep it out.

Wait to see if it dries up. Never use more than a few drops of water and a soft cloth, it should be enough (dampen the clotch, don't spray the water on the screen).

Keep it open and on a windowsill for a couple of days. That should dry it out. In the future get yourself a pack of windex wipes and just use one of those. Clean the outside first (as it will use up the excess windex) but only with one side of the cloth. Then use the other side of the cloth to clean the screen.
