If none of those games interest you then I would say that your tastes are pretty shallow. I am not trying to insult you, but saying that there are no games out for Wii when 2010 shoved a huge amount of core/veteran titles down everyone's throats is ridiculous.

Red Steel 2 and Prince of Persia (different than the 360 version) are also cool games.

How was 2010 disappointing. Nintendo gave us 4 major franchise released and more. Mario Galaxy, Metroid other M, Donkey Kong Country, and Kirby were the big ones. Then you have Goldeneye, Red Steel 2, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Monster Hunter Tri, and Sonic Colors for games that weren't top tier but still worth playing. So basically, you don't like Nintendo's first party?

If 2010 was disappointing, then I see no reason why he still own the Wii. With all the first party titles and quality third party games that came out last year, saying that 2010 was lacking is a bunch of garbage.

So you are saying 2D games can't be good enough to be awesome. Donkey Kong is a big franchise for Nintendo. Kirby is pretty big as well. It has been awhile since Donkey Kong and Kirby have had a proper outing on a main Nintendo console, so yes I would consider them. Donkey Kong Country was awesome. I don't see how being 2D makes these games small by any margin. I don't understand the logic. What about all the other games that came out like Tatsunoko vs Capcom, Sin and Punishment, and No More Heroes 2?

What did 2009 have? It had Mario Bros Wii, Muramasa, the Demon Blade, (but you don't think 2D is worth it, so those games are out), Little King's Story, Mad World, which was a beat em up that didn't quite live up the hype, The conduit 1, (but you don't play shooters on Wii, so again that game is out)

There was also Rune Factory. You say 2009 was better but a lot of the good games that came out fall into the 2D category, so enlighten me, what was so great about 2009? I am assuming you think we are at the age where 2D is irrelevant. I don't see what makes 3D so much more spectacular. Both 2D and 3D can be great if the developer does a good job with what they want to do.

Yeah, I don't see how 2D means a game is bad, 2D is fun in a lot of cases...

But besides, that, he's not a troll, he asked a question. Maybe he only likes one or two types of games... that's called anopinion, and people are allowed to have one. If he doesn't like some of these first-part titles from 2010, he might just not like the genre of them.

And so what if he doesn't like first party games, doesn't mean he can't own it. Maybe he just likes third party games.

All I am asking is for you to elaborate on why you thought 09 was better, but all you have said so far was that you thought the games were more interesting in 09 but don't give any reasons. All I was pointing out was that a lot of good games in 09 fall in genres that you don't play, or you consider them to be not worth it because they are 2D.

It's funny that you people say 2010 was amazing because wii got so many good games and you all mention the same 4-5 games. If you think 4 games is a lot then you have a problem.

Ok so i will now elaborate on why i liked 2009 -

1. Mad World

2. Little Kings Story ( even though it was 2D, my point on what you were saying on 2D games, is that when you pick a 2D game as the consoles best game, your not giving the system any justice )

Esspecially Kirby which from the video reviews said that it was wayy too easy and you can almost never die, also didn't this game get voted worst game of the year?

3. The House Of Dead : OverKill ( super fun if you own the wiigun )

4. Wii Sports Resort

5. Dragon Quest (cant remember if that came out in 2009 , i just know i got it in 2009 and love it )

6. De Blob ( was released late 2008 but i got it 2009 )

7. The Conduit - wouldnt normally get shooters but this one was alright.

2009 wasnt a GREAT year i just enjoyed it more then 2010..
