Most people who play the video games hate the tv show anyway. The goal of the games is generally the same, i.e ctach em all, be the best trainer etc. btu many new features have been added. I would recommend it if you have the cash to spare. Even if you don't like pokemon in general, D/P are shaping up to be the best DS games out there, or at least most anticipated.
The only differencs between the two are what pokemon you encounter and what legendary you fight in the main storyline. With Wifi trading, the different pokemon thing is basically gone. Most people are getting Daimond, for the sole reason it comes first when you say Pokemon Diamond and Pearl. It really just depends on which color/stone you prefer, or what the store has in stock when you get there. I'm getting Pearl, because I believe Peral's legendary is slightly stronger than Daimonds. kingkade712I'm getting both. What the heck. This thread reminds me of a story about the show. It lost me at that time. Ash and Pikachu were in the Pewter City gym. Pikachu tries to to take out a rock type Onix. Yeah, right I thought
I remember when "Pokemania" first erupted in the states, and yeah, the shows and merchandising really did alot of people in, it's a shame really, since the first two games were fantastic.
As for what version you should get, I'm under the impression it doesn't matter. I remember getting the original blue, and no one, absolutely no one had the GB link cables.
I hate the tv show and the video game. I played it when I was younger then at age 9 hated all things with pokemon in it.Most people who play the video games hate the tv show anyway.
