Ok so here;s da dealio, I convinced mah parents to let me get a shooter game, catch is this is my first and last shooting game, my parents ain't gonna let me get anymore, at least not wit their money. Sooo I'm trying to decide which one is better. I like Black Op's MP but Goldeneye's SP looks so sexxxy. Any which game would last me longer? Which is more newb friendly? This is my first shooter, besides Delta Force: Blackhawk down and that was a while ago, plus I sucked at it. Any suggestions?

I only have Goldeneye, and I did SP twice, once in Agent the other in 007. I like it.

Both are noob-friendly. Golden Eye's single-player last longer, Black Ops multi-player is better. Probably. I've only played GE's.

Black Ops is a more 'serious' shooter, I guess. The multiplayer is much more competitive then Goldeneye's. The best way I can describe it is in Goldeneye, you'll have many light-hearted, funny matches where random things happen. Where as in Black Ops, it's more about your kill/death ratio, ranking up, etc. It's more competitive and serious and there are more stats to customize. Also in terms of online, Goldeneye is less stable then Black Ops is. Goldeneye has some frame rate issues online, where the frame rate will drop a bit below what it's set at. That doesn't happen with Black Ops and the lag on Black Ops is minimal. The online is also much more organized and extensive in Black Ops then it is in Goldeneye. In terms of single player, both offer some good single player campaigns and both are different. Goldeneye is a more spy/agent FPS, obviously. It's very different then what's come out from FPS games in the past few years. It's really good and well made. Black Ops is what you can expect from a Call of Duty game. Lots of action, big set pieces, epicness all around. You can't go wrong with either. If you want more multiplayer that requires more dedication, with a good campaign, get Black Ops. If you want a really unique, good single player campaign with some multiplayer you can visit here and there, get Goldeneye.
