They're doing an amazing job of actually adding new content to the game in America. It was nice of them just to bring it here, but to add new content? That's over and beyond.
japan will get the "ultimate version", which happens to be the only version we'll be getting. it includes not only extra characters, but an online mode too.BrunoBRSNothing sucks more than the full priced re-release, especially if its like just a year after you got the game. Oh and in case you didn't hear the remaining additions to the roster was supposedly leaked a couple weeks back.
I don't understand how what you said is different from what other people are saying aside from some rumors. You made your point of the info you know, which is not all officially confirmed, but to call other people names for merely stating what they believe to be true is too much. This thread is so full of fail and uninformed **** it makes my head hurt.
For starters, Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars was initially going to be an exclusive release for North America and Europe with 1 character being removed (Hakushon Daimou, aka "the butt-ugly genie"), 5 new characters, and added online. The latest issue of Famitsu revealed the first of the 5 newcomers (Tekkaman Blade, aka Teknoman) and also confirmed a Japanese release. Capcom thought "Hey, if we are making a director's cut of this game for NA/EU, why not JP?" The Japanese were in a "ME TOO!" mode when Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Ultimate All-Stars was first announced. Tatsunoko vs. Capcom: Cross Generation of Heroes is the old version that was only released in Japan in both Wii and Arcade form.
EDIT: As for the other 4 characters? Zero (unknown whether it's MMX, MMZ, or MMZX Zero), Frank West, Yatterman-2, and Joe the Condor are pretty much confirmed due to a ".jpg" file leak on the official site.

Sigh, most games get this treatment, this is just one of the only Wii games to get the upgrade.
Maybe when one of the Final Fantasy Wii games gets an International version, you'll realize how often its done.

Hmm... makes me think Ubisoft should do the same for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up.It's not fair how they are re-making it for the Japanese. We didn't get a Re-make of Fatal Frame 4 did we even though many people wanted it. I think they should just have left them out this time so they can see how it feels to the rest of the world when they make all of those awesome Japan-Only games. Anyway, I am not in charge of what they do and business is business so whatever. Anyway, the only characters I'm waiting to hear about being released are Speedy and Speed. I couldn't care less about Frank West and Yatterman-2.
Sadly, Speedy Cerviche and Speed Racer were deconfirmed a while ago. Disney's North Americandistribution rightsto the Samurai Pizza Cats expires in 2011, not 2009 (the yearthe rights toTeknoman expired). Sotsu is another name I have to throw out there. It's not fair how they are re-making it for the Japanese. We didn't get a Re-make of Fatal Frame 4 did we even though many people wanted it. As for Speed Racer: WB, Speed Racer Enterprises and some other companies that I forgot about would all have to get a cut. Tatsunoko should learn how toget a hold of their IPs.
They're addin' new features to the US release, like online and NEW CHARACTERS.
Hope that was "to the point" enough for you.:P

And remaking the game for Japanese so they can have it too.
And nobody here should be complaining about that. After all we can actually play AGAINST the Japanese now.

Well that's true. Also then, nobody should've been complaining that we didn't get Fatal Frame 4, and all the other awesome Japan Only games that people wanted that never made it over here. I guess it's great that we can play against them now though because now I can take my anger out that way. Great Optimism Spud.

I never said it was rare, I just said it sucks when it happens, I mean it happens at least a few times a year with those GOTY editions of games on the PS3 and 360. Hell in a period of a few weeks later this year, you get Fallout 3, LBP and TFU re-release.zero? REALLY? *face shining* :D:D:D:D he better be the MMZ version, it was the best :DThis thread is so full of fail and uninformed idiots it makes my head hurt.

Chibi Zero was confirmed to be retarded by the majority of the fans. MMX's Zero is and will always be the better shemale.
[QUOTE="Sepewrath"]That rant by Nintendonly was absolutely pointless since he just regurgetated everything everyone already knew. Probably shouldn't call people idiots when you do things like that. ^anyway I would rather have the original Zero, I was never a big fan of the move to MMZ. BrunoBRSis it even possible to NOT like megaman zero? not only his design was awesome, but it was challenging, had custom parts, extra stuff to find and MORE WEAPONS. not to mention the always-awesome Z-saber :D I liked Megaman as Megaman, hell I'm more of a fan of the original MM than I am of his X version, and I liked it more when Zero was his own robot.

Same Here Sepewrath. I like the Original MM better than X
