[QUOTE="BoloTheGreat"]Those who are saying red steel 2 and especially the god awful Conduit are deluded, i think it's almost impossible for the Conduit to get AAA from waht i have seen. The problem is that most Wii games lack ambition, compare Red Steel (The only real FPS exclusive to the Wii) to say something like STALKER, KZ2 or Halo3. Hell even something like HL2 seems beyond their graphical and aspirational horizons, There is just too much amazing FPS elsewhere and only 3 FPS games coming to the Wii in the forseeable future. I just think it's a bit much to ask of something wich is still essentially a point and click gamecube. BoloTheGreat

Holy crap......say that again??

Third party Wii games are lacking in amition much of the time, FPS is very few and far between, FPS has risen to a such high standard (on-line is baically impossible at modern FPS standards on the Wii due to freind codes asshattery). The Wii is not a huge step from the GC in terms of power. All this makes it hard to make an "AAA FPS". FPS has becme about power (just look at KZ2, Bioshock, STALER; CS, Crysis ect etc) and on-line, two things the Wii lacks. It's got the controls no doubt but everything else is conspiring against it.

So you feel in your opionion that there is no way a AAA FPS could EVER be made on the wii? Wow that sucks for you if you gotta Wii. I have hope it will happen but thats just me lol.

Hmmm...By AAA you mean big franchises? I would love to see a good COD or a Gears of War (Even though it's not FPS)...

AAA means it scores a 9.0 or higher on average

Whow now calm down...from what I have seen so far the gun in RS2 isnt used much...its kinda like "LOOK we have 1:1 sword movement...oh and there is a gun to" LOL

rgame1

I agree. After watching the RS2 walkthrough, my impression was the game is full of elements that were simply thrown together in hopes the end result would be something good. Hitting doors over and over again with your sword just to open it because the developers like hitting things is ridiculous and will get old quickly. Then you have the name. It makes no sense to call it Red Steele 2 when it has nothing to do with the origional. I definitely have some questions on how good it will be because some details are obviously not well thought out.

and doing the same thing in all the assassins creed missions is fun and ok right and far from ridiculous right?

I don't knowanything aboutassassins creed. Is it available on the PC or Wii?

[QUOTE="osan0"]the question mark over the wii on the big area front is its lack of a HDD. neither halo1 nor 2 would have been possible on the xbox1 if it didnt have a HDD. it was used extensively to quickly load in the level data. each level wasnt that big but it felt much bigger because loading was practically non existent (just a little pause). whether the wiis disc drive is sufficent to do the same thing is debateable at best (personal;y i think it cant....HDDs are just so much faster) as for the other stuff...the vehicles and such like.....time and money really. halo2 had the budget of a country for its development and had a team much much bigger than that of the conduits. the tech for halo was also developed over a very long period...long before MS bought bungie. HVS decided to focus on getting the controls spot on and getting the technology in order which i think was a good decision. had they decided to try and make a halo type FPS...i think they would have been spread too thin. they already have a game thats better looking than halo1 and at least gives halo2 a run for its money. not bad for a relatively small developer. if the conduit is a big success then who knows....maybe HVS can get more people on board and start building on what they have done in the conduit. a third person shooter would also be ace. i miss the wiimote when im playing games like gears and uncharted...it would be so nice to have in games like those.LastLaugh90
This pretty much answers my question. Good points..

Huh? Halo had some insane loading times. I timed it one time, and it took about 3.5 minutes to load a level.

Since many of us won't play FPS on dual analog, a 360 would be pointless.

I have a mac so I'm out of luck there considered picking up modern warfare for it because apparently its on the mac though which would be very nice as I've been dying to play through its campaign as a whole not just tidbits at friend's houses
