How is issue of 'hinge crack' currently?

about... one year ago, my ds lite got second hinge crack... I was fed up because I got my DS lite hinge fixed and after 6 months it got another crack... and I'm pretty sure myself that I was regarding 120% of carefulness of my DS lite after the hinge crack.

So it's been one year of using hinge cracked ds and now it's getting the screen going to the white.

So how is theissue of hinge crackcurrently for example... new DS Lites recently or DSihave less possiblity of getting hinge cracked.

DSi hinges are a little loose by default, but I don't think I have seen anyone report a broken one. As for DSL hinges (new ones) Idk.

My original DS's hinge broke but I dropped it a lot so that may have been the problem. Nintendo fixed it...for free. They kept lowering the fixing price but I finally got them to do it for free! But that wa s along time ago. None of the DS lites I had before had any hinge problems and my DSi so far hasn't had any problems.
