well i put it standing up cause its easier put the discs and gc controllers in that way, and cause the base of the wii fits better in that way

Mine is positioned standing up. A few weeks ago I realized that it could fit right next to my TV(it's on a really small stand), and that's where it has been ever since.

Standing up. I think it just looks better standing up. Plus, if it's laying down, the covers for the Gamecube memory cards and controllers doesn't open all the way and the Wii just looks tacky without the cover on.

laying down for a few reasons

1) it vibrates less. the last time i had it standing up, i put warioware in and the drive made a very worrying grinding noise and the wii sounded louder than my PC. it scared the crap out of me. that was before i got it replaced mind but i dont feel comfortable having it on its side anymore

2) i have cats who love to jump on my desk and pull things around. a tug on my GC controller or an attempt to make a quick leap from my standing wii to the window would be a nasty. i have it postiioned though so that u cant see the GC bay or GC controller cable unless u look for them so removing the side doors doesent bother me.

3) all my other consoles in my room lie flat.....it looks a bit out of place if i leave the wii on its side.

Right now : laying down. Most of the time : Standing up.

Reasons : sometimes it makes to much noise standing up, but it ventilates better. It also depends on my use of the gamecube controller.

I alternate it. I leave it standing so the lens won't get dusty, and I leave it laying down so the GC ports won't get dusty (since I'm lazy to to put the GC controller and GC memory card away and put the covers back on...

I put the Wii vertical. And I actually like it better. Easier to put the games in, controllers, and it looks neater. The problem having the Wii vertical is the gc controllers can be pulled accidently. And that can shift the Wii while playing games. An Example is Brawl and Mario Kart Wii.

I have my Wii standing up, but it looks out of place. My entertainment center is quite small, and the Wii would barely fit on its side on one of the shelfs because it would have to be stacked on top of my PS2. My Wii currently is in a stand next to the entertainment center and looks really weird.

I have it upright on my stand. If I don't use the stand to me it looks like an external hard drive that is white. Also as DarkLink_7 said, I use my GCN Wavebirds alot and it is easier to use them that way. It looks cool on the stand =]

Laying down. Its better to put a 360 on its side, so I went ahead and did that with my Wii too
