[QUOTE="Haziqonfire"]Its like Melee 2.0. It got a lot of updates, but the game play was fundamentally unchanged.ChojutoHave you even read any other posts in this thread besides the first one? Oh and, they should make it so that you can turn random tripping off. That would help competitive play a lot.Ya, but tripping can SOMETIMES be really helpful because you get invincibility frames when you do your "get up" attack.

i think it suberb fantastic marvelous extrodinay my family cousins come over and play until like 3 in the morning once we play whold day and they couldnt drive home cause tired so they slpet ova and next day kept playing they come like 4 times a week its addictive and fun im a huge fan since 64 then melle now this addictive lowing game
yea, Its average i thought. i mean. When i get into a game. i dont wanna play it non stop but i dont wonna go a week without playing it. Lol. i find i got bored of it pretty easy. Took me like 3 days to finish it.. and after that i found to do what i wanted was quite effortless. The first time playing it was best. Even in brawl mode. I get pretty bored of beating my sisters time and time again. Even with 2 other A.I.'s on hard gets a bit boring in the end..
Then again, its a good little game when your angry and want to hurt something lol

Tiimmeh
I agree about this except for that hurting part lol . Anyway Brawl was an awesome game when you still had to finish SSE because after SSE it feels like you have nothing to do anymore except beat people through Wi-Fi , collect trophies , stickers , finish stadiums and events.
This man speaks the truth. Nothing else to be said.http://allisbrawl.com/blogpost.aspx?id=164
just if you guys are interested. Good blog post on the melee vs brawl thingymabob. I feel like many others that you can't play it as competitively as melee, and it isn't as fun to watch. Also the disparity of skill is smaller in brawl, than in melee. and i don't mind that they took out wavedashing, but it sucks that they took out l-cancelling, and low hit-stun. and put in things like Tripping! (wtfbomb. seriously.) Also don't like the fact that the weighting of characters, gravity and jumps of the characters are all very similar. In melee for example fox will fall like a rock, whereas luigi will float like as if he was on the moon. In brawl everyone is floaty, which adds to the slowness factor. Also don't like the nerfing and balancing of alot of the characters, as well as the grab system. dodging system and also taking out Dreamland 64!
spiking is also different in brawl. In melee you would stay closer towards land and i dunno short hop and spike. But in brawl its more of an idea of going out there and spiking them rather than them coming to you and then spiking them. This is the case as characters are able to grab the edge backwards. and also that when you press up b, it almost always grabs the ledge automatically, so there is no timing involved. Also the fact that every character in the game can make it back to the stage without breaking a sweat, as opposed to melee, where samus and link would explode themselves with bombs to get back. This is also a problem because basically the only way to kill characters in brawl is to smash attack them. Whereas in melee if you f-air on a character on a 100% they will most likely get knocked back far enough so they can't get back or get smashed out. If you f-air with cf for example in brawl, at 100%. It won't even knock the character off the stage in most instances. There is also no longer 'sweet spotting'.this i believe is pretty wtfbomb.
So basically thats the problem(ssssssssssssssssssssssssssss) i find with brawl, its very noobfriendly and not as competitive as melee.
watch a few brawl matches, then watch melee matches and you will see what i meanbut anyways, after the initial weirdness of it. some people sorta like it. maybe you just have to adapt to it.
I for one sold it, since i reverted back to melee, along with my friends.
The thing is i thought brawl was gonna replace melee but it doesn't. They are absolutely two different games. In conclusion i think brawl is the better party game 4v4 free for all. and melee the better competitive game 1v1, 2v2 and so on. Just because of the feel, and the bigger door for mindgames. Its just more fun imo.
end.
Also you really shouldn't be asking smash questions here. This isn't a good smash community.

I can say this. Brawl is my favorite Wii game, but when compared to Melee it fails. I only play Brawl because I can play people online. ...and wavedashing is not a glitch. Just wanted to let people who think it is know that it isn't. :P [QUOTE="AdRock92"]So Brawl has no tech skill?ZumaJones07Not every character in Brawl has the ability to tech like that as we can see by him only doing things with Falco, MK, and IC on non moving players. The game is horribly unbalanced like that. :P Every character in Melee had a chance to win and the better player always won, not the better character.
You got that the other way around. Melee was rediculously unbalanced. the gap between Falco Fox Marth and the other characters was horendous. Wavedashing only made this gap a whole lot bigger (not all characters could effectively use it like Ness). That's why those were essentially the only players ever used in that game by tournement players. In Brawl every character has a very good chance of winning. What helps this is that all the characters are much more varied in this version making for a diverse aray of strategy between each character. We got Olimar, sonic, Snake, Pokemon Trainer, Zero suit Samus, etc. All of them are completely new ideas and have tremendously unique movesets. By using the strategy unique to each of these characters anyone can win including Ganondorf and captain falcon.

Indeed.
Brawl is the type of game that's awesome but like every great game, it gets called overrated.
I never played melee or the 64 one. I find it really annoying when brawl gets bashed just because some competetive people can't even try to have fun at all. Not to mention that new players get bashed to hell just because they haven't played melee for 5 years. Some may say that for these people the competetion is their fun but they look down upon "the evil casuals". Of course, there are also friendly competetive players.
I love the game. It has great gameplay, great soundtrack and a good single player mode with fun events. It was also the game that made me get a Wii after seeing gameplay videos and I never owned a Nintendo system before (grew up with sega) which also led me to get all of the first party Nintendo games which are also just as awesome.
That being said, I was really disappointed with the online mode. Not because of the lag or lack of options but because it never finds anyone to play with :(. When it rarely finds someone I have a really great time though.

You're absolutely righti like it alot, but haven't played in months because i have don't any one to play with.themagicbum9720Yeah that's the problem with fighting games on the Wii. No online, no one to play with (unless you have a friend that lives really close, or a sibling), so not much fun after you figure out how to beat the computers. Especially if it's one of those games where the computers are broken, like in Soul Calibur 2 where on the hardest difficulty they just freaking guard impacted every single move you did.
