How old are you Pokemon Players

I'm 18 years old.. I've known about pokemon since the beginning.. I've played all the games.. some its been a long time though.. The own one I own now though is pokemon diamond... but I'll probably try to get soul silver when it comes out.. I've played the gamecube games. I liked the story lines but I missed that catch em all feel.. lol..

I'm 18 and have been playing since Blue and Red. Over the course of my life, I've probably wasted 50 hours just sitting on a toilet playing Pokemon.

I'm 14. I started with firered.

Today I went in to gamestop to get my jirachi for pearl and platinum and stood in the corner so people wouldn't see me. My gamestop is in a mall where many kids go.

well after seeing all the replies i think i maybe a little too old (33) to start playing pokemon. to all you younger players enjoy the release of heart gold and silver

I don't know what you were expecting, you'd probably hear the same about any game. The average response was around eighteen. That's pretty solid in my book, and I'm hardpressed to think of a game where the average user is much older than that. I mean, sure, kids play pokemon, but that doesn't mean that only kids play pokemon. *shrugs*

I'm only 14, and have been playing Pokemon since I was 7. In my opinion, nobody can really be "too old" for a Pokemon game. It's a great RPG series full of fun and adventure, and those who pass judgement and don't play it are really missing out. It's like a hardcore RPG series in disguise as "kids games".

I have been playing the games since Red and Blue was released in the United States. I'm nineteen, but I'll be twenty in April. Pokemon is just one of those game where there's no true age limit. There's stuff that children won't get or perhaps won't care about such as EVs, IVs, breeding to get certain natures and/or attacks, etc. People only consider it childish because it's stereotyped out to be a game that only children would play. I'm sure the anime plays a big role in the view that some people have. You also have the people who believe that video games are just for children, and that it is something that people eventually grow out of this. This opinion, this view can be damaging and hurtful.

ok well im 17 been playing pokemon since i was 8 that was back when blue and silver was out XD played em all except for leaf green and fir red im a little shocked at the age difference in here so many 20 year olds and 30 year old here lol even though i have to admit i dont know what EV and IV breeding is i know it has SOMTHING to do with the natures but its still foggy anyone mind helping me out with that? i know ,for example, that a gentle nature increases sp.atk right? >.< and lonley i think does the same too lol idk i need help with that a little :P PM me or somthing that whould be helpful XD

18, started with gold version, went down to red and then went up the generations correctly. i think the average in america's about twenty, i've heard somewhere, and a lot higher in japan

I been playing pokemon Since the release of Red/Blue in USA. I have played every generation. Im 23 and started playing when i was 12 years old. I could care less what people think about me cause im a huge pokemon fan.

What's really scary is one my friends knows EVERYTHING about pokemon and he's my age. You can ask him what any nature does, all base stats of EVERY pokemon, the stats of EVERY move, and EVERY item that there ever was and what it does.

I agree with silversan, people stereotype the games because of the anime and most of its viewers are children. It really irritates me. :x

21 the first Pokemon game I played was Blue back in 1999 and I still quite like the games.

18 - Since Pokemon Blue and My Game Boy Pocket

I think the true Pokemon fans are older because we grew up with the game, and all the younger kids are now playing the spin-offs (Ranger, Wii Titles).

I played and enjoyed Pokemon Pearl, but for some reason I don't think I will stick with this game for too long. I'll give it a try, and I'll probably love it though.

I still remember the good ol' days of hangin' by the tetherball pole annoying my older cousin and his friends to teach me how to catch Pokemon.
