I played multiplayer metorid on MP2...and it just felt strange...seeing samus fight samus...there's only supposed to be ONE of her. She is unique...having multiple "clones" of samus just feels wrong to me. I don't know about the rest of you guys? I don't need multiplayer metroid, that's what SSBB is for:lol:
If anything it would just up the replay value. You know its gonna have a kick ass singleplayer, why not add multiplayer? A lot of my friends live in other towns or go to school so no one has time or money to make a trip to play video games. Really could adding multiplayer really hurt it that much?
I'm really glad that a lot of other people think out there think like I do...the real Metroid experience is found in the single player mode, and not some hokey online mode. Don't get me wrong--I'm sure that Metroid could havea great online mode--but I would just prefer having the absolute best single player experience over online any day. Plus, I'm really glad that an online mode is not just being "tacked on" for people to complain about, either.
I suppose you wont buy Zelda or Mario, too right? They don't have online... I'm really sick of this. They should have stuck with 3rd person JUST to shut people like this up.

Star Wars Battlefront is 3rd person and has good online. I think you ment 2d side scroller.
I find most games that support online are either made for it, or it's just tacked on. I prefer Matroid to stay single player only, as hunters was a piece of crap.
I dont like metroid singleplayer, to much scanning and back tracking. But i would of bought this game for the online. But i guess 8 months isnt enough time for nintendo to add that. Well if there gonna be that lazy i aint buying it. Ill stick to medal of honor heroes 2. That game will have good singeplayer and good online multiplayer.BVP16
Dude, this is exactly how I feel. I mean come on, MPH had Online and that was for a hand-held! Why can't they at least have local multiplayer for the first decent FPS for the Wii! Sigh, is that to much to ask for Nintendo? I think not.
"We opted to devote those resources to making a better single-player experience" okay good. i expect over 80 hours of minimum game lenght. i want a long title worth my 70$, not some adventure ill be done 100% in about 20 hours cough *prime1&2 cough* i want alot of lasting appeal like re4, such as new weapons via wiiconnect24 or something to warrant me a round 2. cause i despise playing a game more than once w/o any incetive of earning something that will make round 2 differet.
they should of had 2 disks... One for anAWSOMESingle Player Adventure and the Other disk should be a not-as-good as the first disk butmake it Online and way harder and make the graphics not as good...See where im going?
i still like nintendo..but it just takes them such a long time to get certain titles released...and when they do come out, they always seem yto leave something out. but thats okay, thats nintendo. the same old, always the same. i really wish they would use their resources and make some titles like forza or something. hey, a while back they said playstation was king of race sims...but then microsoft jumpe don the bandwagon , made forza and they made gt look dated. mayb nintendo will do something...but if they don't its okay, thats why i have my 360 to keep me warm at nite when ninty doesn't provide.

You shouldn't be playing metroid if you don't like the single player. The game is built around scanning and backtracking, it has been since it's inception. Not to mention is wasn't delayed 8 months, it got delayed by about a week just after they gave it an official release date. You never know, a multiplayer update may come in the form of Wii Ware as well. Nonetheless, you should get an xbox and play halo if you want fps multiplayer - I personally don't think you deserve to play a true game like metroid - any of them.
