Nintendo knows that we know and love the concept of G/S remakes, so why on earth would they not confirm localization, or even mention them at E3? Correct me if I'm wrong, but does the complete lack of these game mean there is a possibility of them not coming here? After all, if they are coming they should be here early next year, and this seems to be the time to announce such titles. Were they mentioned and I just missed it?

It would be stupid of Nintendo to not bring these titles over seas. I mean ,look at all the fans! Pokemon Gold/Silver were the only Pokemon rpg's I haven't played ,and I would defiently buy one if they came out! Well I guess I played Gold ounce ,but the internal battery was screwy and it kept erasing my memory ,but that's a story I'd rather not tell..

Well you gotta remember they dont need to make note at E3 cause it might only be for Japan sadly...hopefully the US does get, if so we shall still find out about it.

I don't really think there's anything to be worried about. Pokemon games always come out in the US quite a while after Japan, so Nintendo just wants to save their North America announcement for a later date.

It's a Pokemon game and Nintendo knows it'll sell like hotcakes no matter where it's released. I highly doubt they'd pass up the chance to release it here.

They'll come to the US, why wouldn't they? Expect to see them around March/April again.

Yeah, pretty much spot on. Besides, Nintendo used this time to announce a lot of surprises that we didn't know were coming. I think that was the focus for this E3.

They have to work on it of course, and plus it's all in Japanese right now. It's not even out in Japan then they have to start translating it.

Plus, it isn't exactly a difficult job. They don't need to come up with any new Pokemon, and they already have the engine and most of the graphics done from prior games.

Nintendo is re-releasing this games in Japan to mark the 10th anniversary of Gold and Silver, so Japan will get them in 2009.

NA got Gold and Silver in the fall of 2000 so If we were to get these game for the 10th anniversary too then we should get them fall of 2010, so Nintendo might save it for next years E3.

Pokemon ALWAYS makes it. Don't need E3 to say "hey we're localizing it". Besides, it only JUST got announced in Japan.

The game isn't even out in Japan yet so I'm not surprised that didn't show it. Pokemon has a larger Japanese crowd, I suspect they'll show it at TGS or if it isn't released yet in the US, next E3

Nintendo doesn't usually attend TGS. If you remember last year they held their own show, which they'll probably do again this year.

Because us Americans have short attention spans.

If they tell us too soon we'll either forget about it or get bored of waiting and thier sales will go down. Strange how all of the Poke fans I know already know about it though. IThey probably should have said something.

Maybe because Platinum was released less than 3 months ago and if they announce a new pokemon game coming out early next year, people will forget about buying platinum and wait for the remakes. Nintendo will not risk the chances of its sales going down.

It's a sure 10 million+ seller. The idea of a main Pokemon not being localised is silly, it will never happen in a million years.

If they showed a pokemon heart gold and silver all the focus would be on that game cuz everyone noes that pokemon games are awesome x3 They probably wanted attention shown to their new games coming out such as golden sun ds and mario and luigi: Bowser's inside story.
