Shortly after playing a couple hours of Super Paper Mario. It finally hit me. This is how Super Smash Bros. Brawl will be played on the Wii. I heard a while back that SSBB would not use motion control cause it would screw up the whole experience, which I think so myself. So I wondered how it would be played if we couldn't use motion control. Then I realized it. You guys think I'm on to something or is it going to be played another way.JustinLive05

The Wiimote by itself doesnt have enough buttons. You would probably need the nunchuk. The guys who developed MK: Armageddon made it intuative ( spelling?) AND simple. There are multiple ways which you can use the wiimote + 'chuk with up-down, side-side, and curve motions.Â
I don't think there are enough buttons when just using the Wii-mote sideways.reggie186
yea... 1 and 2 could be attack and and special attack, up on the D-pad for jump ( wouldn't annoy me) A. Side to side on D-pad, makes you go left + right... down is obviously duck. B could be the shield button... and i dunno what + and - buttons will do. But i thought of that whole control scheme in 3 mins.. so i know it sucks.. lol

EDIT: Scrap what i said for jumping, you should just jerk the wii-mote towards you.. then your character would jump.. like i said... 3 mins.
No you didn't figure it out.
It will have a gamecube control option which meens it'll also use the wii-mote and nunchuck to make up for lack of buttons.
ok this is how it will probably be like
the nunchuck's analog stick to move of course, C to jump, and Z to block/grab.
and on the remote A to do normal attacks, B for special attacks, and you can use the D-pad or move the analog and the A button for the smash attacks and analog stick and B for special smash attacks.
and motion sensing for the super attacks like when Mario made a huge blast that filled up the screen. like depending on what you do right depends how much power it will have and what the other ppl do to lower attack damage
you know what i mean.
they're more likely to use the GameCube controllerPhel

They said almost a year ago that we might want to hold on to our GCN controllers. That is not definitive of anything.
