when i pressed down on the bottom right corned of my DS's touch screen, it sinks down a little bit like its hollow under it, then it comes back up when im not pressing on it anymore, is this happening to anyone else or is my DS slightly defective?

Yeah I'm pretty sure that it shouldn't do that.

I don't think the touch screen is suppose to do that. You should get someone to check it just in case. You never know, the touch screen might fail on you and that would be bad.

The black DS I used to have did the same thing. DS continued to play fine and I never had any gameplay issues, but it was a little distracting.

The DS's touch screen is pretty tough. Even with all the abuse from using it (playing games, not intentional), i've haven't really heard of it failing much. Iphones on the other hand, their touch screen is crap!

That's not normal. Take it in somewhere to get it looked at.

I compiled this for you, I hope it helps.

My DS does the exact same thing.

I originally had a white DS lite but returned it because of a dead pixel and got a black one instead. then realised there was something wrong with the corner of the touch screen but couldn't be bothered going back again.

It doesn't really affect the touch screen, but it is distracting knowing that it's there.

Interesting. I decided to check my DS Lite for the same problem and the plastic around the bottom right corner of the touch screen has a tendency to flex under pressure but the other three corners remain firm. Thankfully the impact on gameplay is negligible, it is annoying but not as frustrating as intermittent shoulder buttons.

Your not the only one. It's been happening to my DS for about a year now. But, nothing that can trouble the touch screen. So, don't worry. If it DOES cause a problem, then send it back to Nintendo to get it replaced (with warranty, of course)
