I miss playing my old DS.

Ok so i just got a brand new white DSi, and it's really fun. But the thing is, I miss playing my old DS Phat. I've had it since 4th grade and have had so many good times with it. This may sound a little weird, but i kinda feel like I betrayed it XD. Has anyone else felt like this?

I traded my phat DS for the DS Lite...never looked back!

After playing the DS Lite I was super glad I traded in my DS Phat. After playing the DSi I was super glad I traded in my DS Lite. I played the DS Phat again recently and frankly that system is just obsolete. Don't get me wrong, the memories are good, but you can make new, better ones with your new DS.

I still play my Phat sometimes :P....

I still play my N64 and Gamecube rather than just do everything on the Wii, because it would feel like I betrayed my first systems :lol:

When I got my DSi, I never even touched my two DS Lites. I felt the same way, but after a week I got over it.

Also, whenever I have to use one of them (If my DSi dies), it feels so weird and bulky.

I'm sure your DS Phat doesn't mind...I mean it hasn't complained yet has it. ;)

I understand. I feel the same way about my cars. It eventually wears off.

man my dsi phat kicked the bucket 3 years ago, i keep its body so i can sell it in 2030

I don't miss it much - I might if I bought a DS Lite, though, as the buttons on that thing are pretty terrible. Luckily they brought back the fat's clicky buttons for the DSi. DJ_Lae

Not really. My old DS is a piece of crap now because I;ve dropped it so much, and the buttons don't work ( read about it in my account blog) and I will be ecstatic when I get my DSi for Christmas. Sure there have been good times with my DS, but I'd rather be reminiscing about my old DS and playing my new DSi than struggling to play on my old heap of junk I call my DS.

I keep all of my handhelds for this reason. And because I totally chewed up my SP and can't sell it. xD

But I get attachments like that to objects too. x3

Me too I got my first DS in 2004 in July the Blue Phat one when I switched to the DS lite I forgot about my old DS when I powered it on it had a dead touch screen. I miss the old days when I played my DS all the time with my friends xD

I still have a phat,I need to upgrade soon. It's holding up well, but the hinge broke because my sister dropped it :x, and I like the way it feels.

I only play my DS Phat, despite the fact that within my family we have like 4 DS+ Lites (the reason why we have so many is because they break). It feels good in my hands and looks cool. I like the Phat design. Also, I don't want to waste money buying re-designs if they're just going to bring out another new handheld soon anyway, and furthermore just release another re-design that I'll want to upgrade to (e.g, I get Phat, then Lite, then DSi, then find out LL is coming out which is better suited to me than the normal DSi, so I get that too, 4 DS's in its lifespan, and then there may be a completely new handheld coming out soon anyway as the DS is getting quite old). The Phat feels good, does the job, and there may be a new handheld coming out within 2 years. I'll stick with it.

I love the Phat! that's why I'm going to get the XL soon.

I own a Matte Black DSi. Last handheld I had was a Game Boy Color. I definitely do not miss the Game Boy Color.

I guess I sort of understand that attachment you get to objects. I never recall experiencing it however, I only upgrade the consoles I have to newer ones that are far superior.
